My First Time Cloche Party

2.18.2010

I am joining a party at Marty's  http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ for the first time. This is a cloche party. A winter cloche party. I started thinking about a cloche that I had put together at Christmas that many of you did not see. So I am going to share that with you now. I also have a couple of other things to show you.

This picture is not real clear, but you can click on it to make it bigger. This is something I threw together at Christmas. I took a white cake plate and put fake snow on it. Then filled it with tiny Christmas figurines and a tiny tree. All from Hobby Lobby.

I know these are not cloches, but these apothecary jars sat behind my sink. One is filled with snow and two snowmen and the other with ornaments and beaded garland.

This little bird sits on a blue pear plate and is covered by a cloche so the cat can't get to him.

Now these sit on my kitchen counter in front of my sink. One is filled with lemons, one with tiny green apples and the tall one in the back is filled with spaghetti. These are here for color and texture.

Here is a better shot of the spaghetti.

Thanks for stopping by and I want to thank everyone again for all the nice comments you have left me. I truly do appreciate them. Please be sure and let me know you dropped by. Be sure and go over and visit with the others who are sharing what is in their cloches. There are so many different things you can put under them. Just anything goes. Be sure and click on this link http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ and it will take you right to the party. Thank you Marty for hosting this event!

Y'all come back now,

KIM

We are really busy musically, writing, arranging, etc., and hoping to get a CD (Contemporary Christian) recorded soon. Love the tour also. It all looks so great with the large photos. See ya...

  9. Hi Kim,
Thanks for visiting me today, and for the invite to come on over. I had actually already been here earlier, but had to leave unexpectedly. All that drool running down my chin messed up my sweater and I had to go change. Every last thing in your house is gorgeous. You are right - we have similar styles, and apparently a lot of the same pieces. Think we might be twins separated at birth or something?

p.s. Love the cloches too! I have a couple of those SL apothacary jars. Well, I had. The cat broke one on Christmas morning! ;) I put you on my reader. I'll be back often!

I thought I'd be one of your first commenters this early in the morning. Anyway, everything looks great. I really like the jar that has the small green apples in it. I haven't seen that one before. Looking forward to our day together today. I get a personal tour now! See you in a bit.

Your little bird is wonderful and such a pretty plate too. Now as for the apothecary jars, they are stunning. Everyone of them are just so eye catching. Love them all. Thank you so much for joining the party. I loved seeing them all so much. Hugs, Marty

  13. I didn't even know you were blogging(how would I, I guess?), but saw the link from Debbie's blog. Your place is truly lovely and I have always enjoyed seeing what you posted. That being said, I didn't realize how much I liked cloches(didn't know that's what they were called)until seeing your display. My favorite is the bird! You really are gifted and I am glad that you are sharing yourself and your home with all of us! Thanks a bunch!-Erin(lovelampshades)

I also love how something as simple as spaghetti looks impressive in your kitchen display! Beautiful house in the background there!!! Have a great weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
