Another Quick And Easy Project

5.05.2010

Between all the priming, sanding, painting, sanding again, and glazing on my current project, I did a quick and easy little project. This is such a simple way to dress up a plain Jane lampshade. I did a couple of my lamps in the sunroom last year and I found some pretty trim on sale at Hobby Lobby the other day that I thought would be perfect for my bird lamp.

Before

After

I just cut the trim to the right size and glued it on with fabric glue and voila.
It just dresses it up.

Looks so much better!

This is such an easy way to change the look of any lampshade. The possibilities are endless. Give it a try.

My latest project that I have worked on for two days now is coming up very soon
so stay tuned! Oh, and you may want to keep your sunglasses close by.

  3. I agree that trim adds so much to a shade and doesn't cost much. Cute lamp before, but so much cuter after she got dressed up!
