Today I am joining White Wednesday at Faded Charm and Outdoor Wednesday at A Southern Daydreamer.
I ordered this sign from an etsy shop by Castle and Cottage blog made by the very artistic Paula. I loved the shabby, cottagey worn look of it plus it is in Italian and my daughter in law is Italian. Well, I was not sure where I wanted to hang it and have moved it three times now. This was the first spot in my stair landing.
It was just blending into the wall.
The second place was in my breakfast room. I liked it here for a while and then thought I had two big white pieces on the wall and the one colored art piece and it just wasn't working.
Now I believe it is in it's final home in my dining room above the center window.
I like it much better here. Of course that meant the metal rooster piece I had here moved to
the breakfast room. So hard to get a good picture with a window causing bad lighting. I have got to
get a photography for dummies book.

Bought these two vintage pieces recently at a flea market. I will share where they are soon.
This was a place setting for today's brunch. Did not get good photos due to the gloom outside.
This is the china I inherited from my Mother's mother. I thought it would be perfect for today.
New potted plant I picked up at Home Depot on Saturday for my front porch.
Other plant and new door mat from Home Depot. Love the colors of the mat for summer.
My hanging basket out front is doing great after I cut it all back.
Please hop over to these parties and check out the other pretties to look at.
You know what to do before you go.
Y'all come back now,
KIM
Kim your front porch looks so welcoming, I love the plants you chose. Oh to have your grandmothers dishes, how sweet and how perfect to use them on Mothers day. Love the plaque and you were exactly right about choosing to put it in the breakfast nook. You have the touch my dear friend, Happy Tuesday to YOU! Kathysue
ReplyDeletePS, I almost forgot, I am sorry, I wanted to thank you for your sweet comment on my mantle post today. I know can you believe how massive that thing is, 17ft long. I do love it now but at one point I thought what have we done?!! Thanks again for always being there for me, You are a great bloggy buddy,Hugs Kathysue
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The sign looks fabulous in it's new spot. It needed that color behind it. I've been eyeing her signs too...trying to decide what to get and where it should go.
ReplyDeleteI like the sign in the 3rd spot too. I do that all the time. Move and move stuff around until it feels right. I am glad that I am not alone.
ReplyDeleteI love the new spot for your beautiful sign! And your china is gorgeous, what a wonderful pattern to inherit! Your flowers look lovely too! So many pretty things in one post!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
I know I was on my dashboard to edit a post and there you were just 51 seconds ago. We almost bumped into eachother, hehe!! If I said Boo!! I would have scared you, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage pieces you found at the flea market! And your puppy is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteKim, I think you found the perfect home for that beautiful new sign of yours.

ReplyDeleteI do love your front porch, it is very welcoming. Your home is beautiful too, great photos!
ReplyDeleteIn every photo, I thought this must be the final resting place for the plaque and when it was, I loved it too, although I loved it in the breakfast room. Anywhere would be perfect..
ReplyDeleteAlso love the petunia basket on the porch. Looks great..
Hi Kim, I love your front porch and all the pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove your table too, what gorgeous plates you inherited :) I think the plaque would have looked lovely anywhere, but it's final place was perfect.
HI Kim,
ReplyDeleteFirst let me thank you for working out the problem with the blog roll thingy. It's a pain to have to ask everyone to check on these things and I appreciate you reinstating me on your list!
Second, your sign is in the perfect spot above the window. I really love your home, everything is so pretty and peaceful and calm looking. And I love the colors you've used everywhere.
Third, the tablesetting was lovely, perfect for Mother's day, I'm so glad you had your mom and sister with you to celebrate together.
Fourth, your outdoor plants are really lovely, so fresh and vibrant and I adore that new door mat. It reminded me that I really need to get new ones. It's hard because I have 11 doors to the outside and I always fall in love with the expensive mat, and then there are only 7 in stock! I think I will at least get a nice bright new one for the front door.
I always know I'll see something really beautiful when I stop by here for a visit!
XO

ReplyDeleteI think the sign looks fabulous in its new home!! It really shows up against that wall color.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing. But sometimes you have to move things about until they tell you it's their resting place. And that doesn't deter me from moving them yet again! Love your photos and your flowers. I keep things cut back and they usually spring back even more lush. Sometimes I'm not as lucky! Your blog just gets better and better!
