Here They Are

6.22.2010

Last weekend I showed you my newest flea market treasures and now I will show you where they are at the moment. The coke crate came with the dividers in it, but I knew I just wanted an open crate. I got my trusty hammer and took the crate outside and beat the dividers until they split and then I just took them out.

The coke crate became my magazine holder. It is the perfect size to hold my home decor
magazines.

The vintage pot became a vase for some fresh daisies.

I picked these up while shopping at the grocery store just for you. They had them on sale, 3 for $10, but I on bought two. I usually just use my fake daisies, but I thought I would splurge just for you! Aren't they pretty?

Here they are together in my sunroom. Y'all are probably tired of seeing my sunroom, but this is where I hang
out when I am not blogging, cleaning, doing laundry, or working in the yard oh, or out running errands.

While we are in here let me show you around because there are always things changing around here.

Moved this metal rooster plaque from the breakfast room to here.

I love this lamp from Home Goods

I added the trim.

Did you notice the rug has changed? I have had this one put away for awhile, but brought it back out.
Purchased this at Crate and Barrel several years ago. It is a nice heavy cotton rug. Of course it is red.

Linking to the following parites:

A Stroll thru Life  for tabletop Tuesday
It's a Very Cherry World for Rednesday
Faded Charm for White Wednesday for the white pot, daisies, sofa, rabbit
and I am grateful to have this wonderful room to get away to so I am linking to
Heart and Home for gratitude Wednesday.
Show and Tell at My Romantic Home

Y'all come back now,

  1. Kim, your sun room is such a happy place. I love the touches of red everywhere. Love the kettle with the daisies, nothing like the real thing, thanks for getting the real ones for us. Hugs, Marla

  2. I just love your house and all the colors you used in it! The daisies are wonderful, thank you! =)

I have a question....where do you store the rugs you aren't using? I just bought a "summer" rug and couldn't figure out where to put/store the 'fall' rug,so it wound up rolled up on the floor in a spare bedroom...and I hate that! Just wondering how you have solved this dilemma!

Your sunporch is wonderful. And, I'm happy to see like minds...I love your green shades throughout your house..my colors too. Those chairs on the porch..is that a vintage floral print fabric you found, or is it a new fabric..I love it and it goes so well with the green. The way you've combined the colors are so cheerful.
