Come Along With Me........

7.10.2010

.......to the flea market. I thought since most of my collectibles come from  flea markets that I would take you
along with me. So grab your purse and your cash or card and let's go!

I love this booth and could stand here and look at it for a long time, but a lot of it is too pricey.

I love that gigantic bottle, but I believe it was around two hundred dollars.

Another favorite and he is expensive on his items, too.

Oh, how I would love to bring her home.

He has loads of cloches, too, but they are around fifty and up.

Does anybody really know what time it is?

Great old typewriter for $75.

This huge display built with old windows gets decorated for the seasons or holidays.

Lots of bird items in it now.

Love these vintage industrial lights.

Need a vintage coke sign?

or how about this vintage Pepsi cooler.

wonderful vintage scales

This little dog has taken up residence in the flea market. He is there every time I go

and it probably has something to do with the price! Going to have to find someone who collects these to pay that price. Any takers??

I hope everyone does something they enjoy this weekend. We are going to be putting the trim in the nursery at our daughter's house.

Have a super weekend!

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  1. I want that Pepsi cooler! Yes, I agree, they are all very pricey! I just bought a typewriter...$24.00 and it is really old, come see. I love all these things but I'm sure they can be found at better prices! :D

  2. Kim what a wonderful place!!! Here that would be called an antique store. We don't really have any flea markets, only thrift stores, and auction places and they don't look anything like your wonderful flea market! They are a little on the grubby side and not very organized! But I still manage to find stuff every now and then! Thanks for taking us along to sucha wonderful store!

  3. Oh, I do love that first booth, too!! How pretty. It's disappointing when things are priced so high, though, isn't it?
Thanks for the tour; that was fun!

  14. Beautiful photos Kim. You must go to some yard sales for the bargains. I found a vintage scale today and am delighted with it. Joe got a vintage bike! Taking a nap now. I do love to see how the dealers arrange their wares in such a pretty fashion. Hugs...olive

  19. What lovely places, they would surely be called Antique Shops here. Our flea markets usually consist of tube sox and some 10 year old Fisher Price toys!

  28. No flea markets quite like that up here. Everything is set out so attractively - makes it easy to see.
Have fun putting up trim. We're re-hanging things in the newly-painted rooms.

  29. I got my 'Flea Market Fix' at an 'Upscale Thrift Shop' this afternoon. Bought a small cabinet to house the coffee pot in our gazebo. Now I must paint it to look better! I enjoyed browsing with YOU!

  30. Oh Kim, what fabulous places to shop! I loved everything, they cloches are awesome, well everything is! I have never been to a flea market like that! When I get back to Atlanta, will have to get a list of places to go!

    Thanks for sharing!

  31. Funny how different things are in different parts of the country. Up here, those would be considered Antique Store prices. Around here, Flea Markets are mostly outdoors and are reserved for people who just want to unload their "stuff". All of those things made me drool Kim, but I could never bring myself to pay those prices! Are you a Yard Saler by any chance? Something tells me you would love it. That's where the real treasures are found and at amazing prices.
    xoxo,
    Kim

  32. I see lots of pretties I'd like. No way I'd buy anything glass that cost very much. I'm too clumsy! That coke sign reminded me of one I had many years ago. It was really big and nice too. I think my first husband ended up with that. A pity.

  36. Oh how fun it will be to work on your daughter's nursery, Kim. I love going to flea markets but there aren't any here. We have lots of antique shops but a lot of them are pricey too but I still browse every now and then and get tempted sometimes. Thanks for the virtual shopping trip....Christine

  42. Thanks for taking us along on your shopping excursion! Very interesting comparing wares and prices. I happen to agree that prices were high and think that is often the case where I live as well.

  45. Hi Kim,

This place is beautiful! The whole atmosphere is really elegant and classy...I can see why the prices are higher...it just looks so perfect! I can see why you'd stand and look at the first one for a long time. I stared at the picture for a long time just taking it all in. I'd love to go there!

    Have a sweet Sunday,

  49. The torture. Why do you do this to me?

Loved all the pics, the Pepsi cooler was awesome.
The cloques are great. I've found some pretty awesome cloques at GW priced at 4.99 and they are big. The folks pricing items at GW haven't figured out what they are, and I'm okay with that!

That was fun shopping, I'd love to do it again soon!
