We are back home after working on the nursery for our future granddaughter all weekend. Actually it is going a lot faster than I thought it would. Once Mr. Savvy gets going there is no stopping him except when his body gave out last night. He was aching from head to toe.
Here are some pictures of the amount of progress made in one and a half days.
Here is the room as it was when I arrived. The original baseboards had already been removed and
replaced with the new boards.
This is the wall the changing table will go on.
Here is the trim getting added. The room is being done in a board and batten style.
Mr. Savvy forgot to wear a belt and his britches are falling off.
First wall done!
We were so fortunate to have a good friend supply all this lumber for us at no cost. Best baby gift
my daughter and son in law could receive.
I did all the cutting in and my daughter did the rolling.
Dark brown on top and the bottom will be all white.
I will have to go back to her house in a couple of days and paint the second coat of brown on and then start painting the white. I hope my son in law
gets some of the priming done. It is going quickly, but I know how she wants it to be finished.
I still have the dressing table to refinish, too and will share that when I can get to it.
This is just the beginning of this new journey. The due date is October 27. She has two showers coming up
in August and September. Time is getting here so quickly and everyone is getting very excited.
