Outdoor Rooms

7.31.2010

Here are some outdoor rooms that make me long for some cooler weather so we can use our outdoor areas.

Enjoy!

Oh, this one makes me long for fall.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Give me an old-fashioned veranda with comfy new wicker furniture and I'm happy!

  2. Yesterday as I was dragging myself around the yard watering everything I had my first little flutter of longing for fall! I love summer, but NOT the watering by this time!

  4. Oh Kim, I am so ready for fall and some cooler weather. It has been such a hot summer. Unfortunately in our area it doesn't really cool down here until late Sept. So I will just have to hang in there for a while longer. Hope your weather cools off soon. Hugs, Marty

  5. We love it here in the mountains...where it's not as hot but we look forward to being in FL in our lanai with the sunshine pouring in! Enjoy your weekend! ♥

  6. Kim, I would absolutely love to have an area like you've shared! They all just look so warm and inviting and sooo very relaxing! I have been wanting to have a sunroom or patio on these plans for our home for a while now.. One of these days I might have one!

I also really liked your last picture.. I really enjoy the fall season, especially when the temperatures are a bunch cooler than what they are here now.. Supposed to get up to 102*, and that's not including the heat index ontop of that! WHEW!!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Blessings,
    ~Lynn

  14. THe next to the last one is something like I am planning for our sunroom which should be finished by the end of Aug. I am looking forward to breakfast and dinner out there. Some folks have advised to decorate as a den, but I want it to be much more in tune with the outdoors. Just without the mosquitos and the squirrels.
Beckie in TN where sitting outside is like to cause a BBQ of oneself.

  18. We are so fortunate in our neck of the woods right now (B.C., Canada) as it is hot in the day but it cools down at night. We are really enjoying using our little cabana but oh, how I wish I had an outdoor room like the ones you've shown! Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

  19. All lovely. We ate on our patio last night. Not to bad heat wise but the ants got me. Now I must spray for ants!

  20. Dang it! I think you are getting me in the mood for fall...and I didn't want to do that yet! We had no spring and have had hardly any summer...it has rained a ton and now I know fall is coming but I don't want to think about it yet...but these rooms are so gorgeous! ;D

  23. Gorgeous--love the top three especially. I am enjoying the warm (hot) days. The humidity feels like hugs. But I also am looking foward to Fall and sitting outside!

  24. The first and the sixth ones are my favorites... all simply wonderful. I am still finding moments to sit on my porch (with the fan whirring along), but it is pretty sultry! I'm not ready to wish summer away quite yet... but, fall will be wonderful when it comes.

  25. I know what you mean. It is really hot here - supposed to be 100 for the next several days. However, we have had plenty of rain so everything is still stunningly green. I'm still spending the mornings outside as much as I can...until school starts.

  29. So many great ideas, thanks for sharing this Kim!
We've had a warm summer too but since we're Northern it hasn't been as hot as many places. Mid to upper 80's which isn't bad.

  31. Did you hear me *sigh* all the way at your house? We actually did sit on the deck (under the awning) for about 30 minutes today before it got too hot!
