This week in summer school in Miss Jenny's class it is time to showcase the color red. I was wondering what the heck was I going to do with the color red. I kept thinking and wondering.....JUST KIDDING! I have so much red around my house that it isn't even funny. Obviously I love red. I love it in my home, but I hardly ever wear it. That is strange isn't it? I am just recapping some red photos from around the house.
We will just start upstairs in the guest rooms. This room has lots of red, but I will spare you and just
show a couple of things. Target lamp base and Pottery Barn red linen drum shade bought on ebay at two of them for $30. That was a bargain.
I love this sign I found at the flea market last year.
Red pillow from Home Goods in the other guest room.
The red sofa in my header that is in the sitting room.
The hutch that was my husband's late mother's that I repainted red.
red plate and my country French cow figurine
the shutters I painted a couple of months ago that were bought unfinished at a salvage yard.
same shutters placed outside to hide the grill
chair outside that I painted red this year
Red wicker chair that I painted last year and my red rooster lamp in the sunroom.
Lots of red in the sunroom.
PB pillows bought on sale or on ebay. I love their pillow covers, but never pay full price for them.
My flea market coke crate turned magazine holder.
Little red butter dish from Anthropologie
Red trim I added to my breakfast room chandy a few months ago.
apple print in breakfast room that I purchased at a flea market.
One of my lamps in the great room on the sofa table. Bought these for a steal at Progressive Lighting for only $29.95 a piece. I could not believe it.
My favorite country French style lamp in this luscious brick red glaze.
vintage red books from the flea market.
Red sunflower lamp from Home Goods. I added the trim to the bottom of the shade.
My vintage enamelware coffee pot and my red checked drapes in the background.
I am sure I have more, but you are probably already saying enough already. Please stop! I was sharing where I bought some of the things and the price to show that you can have a nice home without spending a fortune which is what I am trying to show with my blog.
This post made me realize how much painting, crafting, and thrifting I have done since starting this blog. That is because I have found so much inspiration from all of you.
Please visit all the lovely red posts this week at Miss Jenny's.
I cannot thank you enough for all of the sweetest comments regarding the changing table that we refinished in my last post. I am looking forward to seeing it in the nursery and will share it with you soon.
Y'all come back now,
