Did Someone Say Roosters??

8.06.2010

I am so excited to attend my first ever rooster party and my roosters are very happy. Who doesn't love a party? All my roosters want to thank our hostess Barb at Bella Vista for throwing this shindig.

Now let me forewarn you that a lot of roosters live with me. Not all of them are hanging out in the house right now, but I think I found all of them and brought them out just for the party. I didn't want anyone to feel left out. Some of them have been cooped up way too long.
I am sure Barb has food and drink for this affair, so grab something and get comfy because I have a lot of these fine feathered yard birds.

Like this sign says I may need to sell some of these. Shhhhh, I hope the roosters did not hear that.

rug I am currently not using

not using this one either

my sister gave me this one

deviled egg dish

place mats that were a gift from my son and dil

My biggest rooster of all!

How many of you are still with me? I probably would have already left. Just kidding.

Thanks so much for enduring all my chickens. I probably left one out somewhere. I know I have more and I have gotten rid of a lot, too. Like I said some of these are stored away.

Please be sure and check out all the other chicks at Barb's.
I think most of you are participating anyway so I will see you there!

Thanks so much for the gracious comments on my tablescape post.

Y'all come back now,

KIM

I love the passion you have put into collecting. You did a great job of displaying and showing your feathered friends here! You know, I just noticed that your title is Savvy Southern Style (on a budget). I missed the last part before. If you are doing all this on a budget you are even better than I thought! You go girl! xxoo Diana

  29. Dearest Kim,

Quite a surprise to see that many roosters in one single home. Guess that after 27 years away from Europe I've still not managed the larger scale of things here... But it was a fun visit and I joined you!

  46. Your roosters are ALL fantastic, and you've incorporated them well with the rest of your decor. Nice and colorful! I had one very similar (or the exact same) as the one your sister gave you....I just took it to Goodwill yesterday since my decor has moved in a different direction. If only I had known about this rooster blog party! I would have happily mailed my rooster on to someone who could use it! :) Have a great weekend!

  61. I am cracking up on all of the roosters! That was funny! They are all very nice especially the big white one. Which would look great on Eve, by the way.

When I was growing up on the ranch in Colorado, we had roosters that would chase me when I road my banana seat bike by them. That was the excitement of my day!

    Take care,

    Lisa
