Look What I Got

8.20.2010

This week I received a couple of goodies that I ordered. I just love when stuff comes in the mail or by the man in the big brown truck. Let me show you what I got.

I ordered this wonderful French linen pillow cover from My French Country Home blog's etsy shop.
This is made out of a vintage French linen that she finds in France where she lives.

I just love this pillow cover. It is so soft and wonderful.

This is the label printed on the front of it.

Look how she did the back of it.

All I had to do was add a standard size pillow to it.

I just love it on my bench. It may move again. I have been carrying it around from one place to another. For now it is here.

This is my new rug in front of my kitchen sink. I ordered this from Ballard Designs back in June and it was on back order till 8-2 and then it was delayed two more times and it finally came yesterday.

It has all the most perfect colors on it for my kitchen. It is called the lemon branch scatter rug.

Since these are a couple of my new favorite things I am linking to Bargain Hunting with Laurie
for Favorite Things Saturday.

I am going to say it again. Go out and have a great weekend.

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  9. Dearest Kim,

The pillow is a steal! Matches with that Bench perfectly!
Don't know the fabric content of the rug for the kitchen... is it cotton? For use in front of the kitchen sink it has to, otherwise how can you launder it?

    Sunny greetings from Georgia,

  12. Mariette, it is a hooked wool rug, but we usually don't make a mess. No kids here anymore and if it gets soiled then I will replace with something else.

  16. Oh-I am just like you-my little heart starts to go pitty-patter when I see the Brown Boy backing down my drive. They back DOWN cuz they don't want to back out...lol And..when I get a card or package in the mail it just makes my day.

I love that pillow. I can't tell for sure if it's buttons or rosette cords for buttons on the back....whatever it is-it's wonderful!

I am saying it again (copying you now) I'm at work and sneaking a minute into BlogLand...shhhhh...

  21. I figure it is a read and click over to her blog and leave comments there instead? I sometimes do that, your post for instance. I came over, clicked over to hers, went back to mine and posted up. So I guess if I win I can thank you? Maybe we can work out a trade with the rug?lol
You'd be proud, because of you, I mowed my yard today. I mowed onetime when I was like 14 or 15 and then today was my second time. I took pics, will go blog about it now, so thanks lady!

  28. I used to be good at math, but I have a question. Did you have your daughter when you were 15? Because if you have been cutting grass for 30years, and you started at nine, then.....You were really young when you had her! :D

  39. Kim those are both so pretty! That pillow is pretty enough to be used on both sides, don't you think? Just the right colors for your home too. I really love your rug. I can certainly see why it was on backorder. I love loop rugs even though I don't own any. I keep looking at them at Tuesday morning as thats more my price range but can't find the right colors yet. I love all the colors in yours! Gorgeous!
