A Project By My Daughter

8.11.2010

I am so excited to share a project with you that my daughter just did for the nursery. These are so cute. I am so proud of what she did and for very little money. I think she is learning to get crafty after me.

Aren't these great. They will be hung on pegs above this changing table. She hasn't found any pegs yet.

She bought unfinished frames and painted them with Folk Art acrylic paint in magenta.
The mat is made out of orange poster board and a white sharpie to make all the dots. I think I would have gone crazy drawing all those dots.
Then I had some burlap and the stencils left over from other projects.

This is the fabric pattern in the room and we are trying to accessorize with some of the colors in the fabric.

She did such a good job matching the colors. I told her after the baby is born we can replace the initials with little photos of her. One of her foot, hand and face. Ignore the blue tape on the floor. The closet still isn't finished.
Son in law needs to get back to it.

By the way they finally settled on her name, Leila Reese Charron.  Leila is pronounced Layla, she just wanted it spelled differently. Isn't that pretty? The last name is pronounced Sharon.

Such a wonderful and sweet name! I have a Reese to, but it is my son's middle name. Cody Reese. I wanted to name my daughter Reese, even after I had named Cody, I love the name Reese. Of course Leila is a beautiful and feminine that certainly can stand on it's own. Love it.

Thanks for sharing, Sharon. Get it Charron.
    Bad joke? I'm weird.
