Rustic, Natural and Faux

8.30.2010

I had put some family photos on my sofa table in place of the previous vignettes, but decided it just wasn't working for me so I have created a new vignette. I also haven't painted the table yet. Have a trip coming up and just haven't had time between getting ready for that and baby showers.
I thought I would go ahead and share these vignettes before I change them again for fall.

I put my plant up on a pedestal that goes to something else and then changed the arrangement in this cloche and put some antlers on the table.

let's take a peek inside.

I know some of you are grossed out by the antlers, but I love the texture they add.

I changed some things in this tray on my coffee table, too.

Love this mix of silver, shells and a vintage marble door knob.

This is my most recent shoe mold find. This one is actually from a local shoe manufacturer no longer in business.

Moved this decanter from another spot to here.

This is just an arrangement I threw together on the table between the two chairs in the great room.

Well that is it for now. You know I will be making some more changes soon for fall.

I do read and appreciate all your comments.
Y'all come back now,

  1. Kim...this is the beauty of having "stuff" to move from place to place and have it always look a bit different and inspiring. Your vignettes look great as always!

  10. Oh Kim, you do always come up with some of the most creative vignettes. I love the ball of twin in the cloche. So unexpected and yet so perfect. Your table is done so beautifully. I am still hoping you paint it yellow like your dining table. I love it. Your tray is so pretty too. I would never have thought to put the doorknob in with the marble and shells and yet it is so pretty. Very well done. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

  13. Love your vignette. I am trying to make some changes here also and one of the first things I did was take up all the family photos. I need to update the pictures and may or may not put out as many.
    Enjoy your week.

  23. I like your real antlers Kim! As you probably know, I did a post on them. Some very strong opinions about them. I prefer real, just like everything else from fruit to flowers. You always create the best tabletop vignettes. I tend to not move my displays around too much because I'm lazy. Every couple months though, I go to the wholesale nursery and then am inspired to create something new on my mantle, or sofa table.

  24. Kim, These are so lovely! You have a great eye for the small details that I think make ALL the difference! I meant to get back to your site and comment on your wonderful nautical inspired bedroom...it was so great and I drooled over so many of your things! Loved the sailor outfit and the cushion used as a pillow on the bed...want to buy one just for that..loved it! Christie at three pixie lane
