Tassels

8.06.2010

I knew when I posted about my roosters yesterday that I probably left one out. Not a big fancy rooster, but still a rooster. I left out my rooster tassel because it was not out and I almost forgot all about it. Of course I forget about a lot these days anyway. Getting older has it's disadvantages. Since I wanted to show you my rooster tassel I thought I would show you some others, too. Don't worry I don't have as many tassels as I do roos. I thought by showing you the few I have you can see the different ways of using them. Tassels seem to be a southern thing, too.

I bought this tassel a few years ago and had it out all the time, but y'all know I am always changing things around here so he was put up for a while.

It's a rather large tassel and  I love the colors of it.

Now we will move on to another feathered friend, my bird tassel.
Here I have it hanging over this shade.

or you can hang it from the knob that turns the lamp on.

This one is in my bedroom. The tassel makes it easy to find the switch.

These are my large tassel tiebacks in my dining room.

I bought these at Tuesday Morning for a great price. They are the perfect color in here.

This shows the actual color better.

This is my favorite one with the cutest little teapot.

Thanks for taking a look at my tassels.

Linking to Bargain Hunting with Laurie for Favorite Things Saturday.

Have a great weekend !

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  3. Hi Kim! Yes, they are really durable! I have had mine for over a year and they get daily use with three kids. I personally think the quality is great. I would like to have some rimmed-soup bowls in the French Countryside to layer with my plates. They all work well together also. Love your tassels! Of course, you had another rooster, lol!!

  9. How cute! It must be a southern thing because I haven't seen tassle much here in the midwest, but I like them. You have to stop showing me things because then I start wanting everything you show!!! lol

I am going to have to work on my blogger. Seems people are having issues with the comment section being blurry or words running over. Not sure what could be causing that!

  10. What sweet tassels! I've never seen so many, or such a variety. I think I have one in my house - on the china cabinet key - and it's not very interesting. Next time I'm south of the border at a Tuesday Morning!

  13. I think I only have one tassel. I forgot which Etsy shop I bought it from because it was awhile ago. It's in my guest bath and has a miniature old Singer sewing machine on it. I love all your colorful tassels! You have such pretty things. Don't you just love Tuesday Morning? I've found some great buys in that place.

  16. Hello Kim,

Love your tassels, especially the rooster and little birds. I had to laugh when I saw this post because I had just spent an hour searching esty and ebay for tassels. With the exception of one, I could not find anything close to what I had in mind so I decided I am going to try and make my own. I found some tutorials so I am looking forward to trying my hand at making tassels.

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  21. You have some really pretty and unusual tassels! I have some somewhere--I used to have them on my cabinet doors, but my grand kiddies were too small for me to leave them there and still find them in one piece! HA! Jacqueline
