Rearranged

9.07.2010

I made a few changes on the shelves in the bookcase a couple of weeks ago. I know you are having a hard time  believing that since I never change anything. wink

When I bought the new tarnished pitcher and added it in the bookcase that started the changes.

I added the blue and white vase to the mix in place of the pineapple that was there before.

I have had this vase for many years and it is nice to be able to bring something out of the storage room and give it new life again.

I changed the vignette on top of the bookcase, too.

Added these transferware plates to the wall.
Already had those, too.

I am still on the lookout for more vintage leather books.

I like to use objects besides bookends as a bookend such as this Staffordshire figurine.

I like to lay some books down and place an item on them.

Linking to A Stroll thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday.

We are so glad to be home sweet home!
I will try to be a better blogger in between the unpacking, laundry and house cleaning.

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  3. Kim, the arrangements look lovely. I like your little Staffordshire figures mixed in and I've already told you how I love that new pitcher and the handled urn. The blue vase fits in beautifully. I want to rearrange our living room book shelves. Just need to jump in and do it. ~ Sarah

  6. I'm with you! I change things up quite a bit at my house. I'm also a vintage book junkie. I have a few from the 1850's. I just love decorating with them. The books and all your other trinkets look fabulous all freshened up.
