I do wish the weather would start feeling like fall, but since I can't wait I am slowly adding some fall touches inside.
I made this fall floral arrangement. I had the red urn already and had most of the florals. I did purchase a few more at Hobby Lobby at 50 percent off.
I purchased this little fellow at Home Goods a couple of weeks ago. I was getting ready to leave
the store without anything and then I saw it. I love whimsy added here and there in a home and this fit the bill.
I added the acorns and tiny pinecones and candle that were all on hand from last year.
I added this wooden pumpkin and brass bird. Had both of those, too.
Here is a close up of what I threw together. I love the little corn stalks I found at Hobby Lobby. Added dried lotus pods that I removed from an old floral arrangement that I took apart.
Isn't this guy cute? I didn't even know what I was going to do with it when I bought it and then the
girl at the check out suggested a candle in it.
This is what it looks like upon entering the house.
Linking to My Romantic Home , Color Outside the Lines, and The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays, and Southern Hospitality for Thrifty Treasures since these were cheap buys.
The hostess of the barnyard bash party at Happier than a Pig in the Mud has invited me to add this post since I have a squirrel and a bird. Not really barn animals, but I hate to make the party host mad.
Hope you will stop by these parties.
Y'all come back now,
KIM

Your fall touches are pretty Kim. If you find any cool air, send it this way. This morning was nice, but now the heat is back and everything is dusty.

The arrangement in the urn is stunning, Kim. Come on up and do my house, please!
ReplyDeleteGreat fall colours. It has definitely felt like Fall here, weather wise, the last few days. I haven't had a moment to get any fall items out yet (back to work, kid's homework, fall fair prep and homekeeping in general). Hopefully Sunday will bring some quiet time and a chance to make a few seasonal changes. The empty pots on my porch need some fall sprucing too.

Hi Kim....I mustered up some energy today to catch up a just a bit. I love that squirrel...he is a cutie pie. Beautiful Fall arrangement too, it really makes a statement coming in your home.
ReplyDeleteAdd the squirrel to my list of wants...HE is adorable!!! I have seen many a bird and squirrel at barns, so yep, you qualify :) Thanks for the addiction advice, all I can say is that if I progress to that, I only have you to blame for it! You are excellent at giving directions and not afraid to say, it looked bad, but you made it look good after more work :)
ReplyDeleteOh Kim ... Thanks so much for linking up to Vignette Fridays this week! I love your vignette. So beautiful and original - and most importantly: INSPIRATIONAL! I don't know what I like better, the arrangement or the squirrel candle holder with that gorgeous birch wrapped candle. I gotta get to homegoods and see if I can snag one of those! :) Beautiful work! All the best!
