Done Until Next Time

10.30.2010

Finished the yard and it looks so much better for a few days anyway.

I love the reflections  of the fall colored trees in the pond.

Next I will have to start scooping out leaves. The work is never done.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a safe Halloween!

  2. You have been busy today - Your yard looks great! I needed to rake and clean up courtyard today, but allergies going crazy. Stayed in and worked on jewelry instead.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  3. Don said that's one of the reasons he wants to head south in October. Our neighbors take care of our yard or the leaves would continue to blow in theirs...lol...Your hard work really shows.

  4. It looks lovely, Kim.
Did you hear me 'ya-hooing' and see me waving? I was outside all afternoon raking and cutting and digging and (I can't believe it, but still...) weeding. It feels great! I also washed all the windows on the ground floor. Am feeling very saintly!

  5. I love your home Kim! It reminds me of the homes from where I come from. Love the stucco and stone. Unfortuantely here on the West coast you don't get this style of home. Boring hardiplank siding no brick or stone! Hard for a girl who grew up in a town full of brick homes.
I never tire of photos of your home!

  8. Kim, I know how much work trees make for us. It's never ending. Your home and yard look lovely. It's obvious that you give loving attention to both inside and outside. I so enjoy seeing your photos. ~ Sarah

  10. Well, you know I love the house already...but, Boy! Did you do a number on that yard! Did you use a mower and mulch up all the leaves and pick them up at the same time? That's usually what we do for our big Fall cleanup. We never even got to work on the shore this year..there was so much to do. I am loving the looks of your water with the leaves in it and reflecting what is around it. I suppose you will have to scoop all that out too!

    Have a Happy Halloween!>) Diana

  11. I love how you can see the reflection of the leaves:) Question, do you suck at anything? I have to laugh at that question, for I know the answer is probably no. I do hold you on a pedestal Kim!

  12. I KNOW how much work this is and how great it feels to get it cleaned up! Looks beautiful! I wish so much we had SOME grassy areas... Happy Halloween!!!! Xo, Pinky

  13. Erin, you are too funny. I do really suck at organization. What you see may look clean and neat, but oh my gosh don't look in cabinet or closet doors. It is really really bad! I have noticed that people that are real organized are not worried about the house being clean and vice versa.

  14. Scooping out all those leaves is why I had mine turned into a pondless waterfall, Kim. Your yard looks really nice.

  18. Beautiful Kim. I love your front door area. It's just so pretty and inviting. Looks like the cover of a magazine. You work so hard to keep it up and it shows.

  20. Kim, please tell me you have some kind of riding machinery to scoop up all those leaves. It looks amazing. It looks like you are a bit remote where you live. Do you get trick-or-treaters? We are in a fairly populated area, but very few children, so we don't get any. Have a happy one!

  22. Wow! You were one busy bee today! Now, have a nice glass of wine and relax! It is really cool tonight here! Finally! Your yard looks wonderful and you deserve a rest. Enjoy Halloween!! Is Leila going to be dressed in anything?

  23. Your yard looks beautiful! I don't envy the hard work that it takes to keep it up. One of our homes had us raking up about 13 bags every week for what seemed like forever each fall. I absolutely adore your garage doors. Our homes out here in Nevada don't have much character --just cookie cutter boring.......

  25. Cas, I have a riding mower, but no catcher. The leaves for now are only bad close to the house. I just used the mower as a blower and made the leaves go in the woods.

    Thanks

  26. You are such a hard worker. YOu do a great job at maintaining and keeping your beautiful home. I love the pond photos. One day we want to have a pond and I get pond envy when I see yours until I see you working so hard to maintain it. :)

  28. Kim, You got a lot of raking done and the yard looks wonderful. Hubby is outside raking up our leaves as I sit here reading blogs! A girl has to have her priorities.
