to Miss Leila Reese. Born 10-18-2010 at 8:23 a.m. weighing in at 6.15 and 19 inches long!
Here she is. This is me holding her. No face shot of me yet. I was looking tired. This is all about Miss Leila anyway.
I am so proud of mom. She did so good. I watched the whole thing!
She says put me back. This was right before her first bath.
This is during her first bath.
On her forehead she has a red mark and they say that is where the stork kissed her.
Brooke had the same place on her forehead and it will go away in time.
She has blonde hair and blue eyes for now.
Thank you so much for the outpouring of prayers and well wishes. They certainly worked. This was a long delivery, but an easy one. Her water broke at 9 a.m. on Sunday and then they went to the hospital at 3 p.m. and then it was a long road till the delivery today at 8:23 a.m. Brooke was given the epidural at 1:30 a.m. and slept most of the night and then this morning it was time right after we got back to the hospital. We went home last night since it was going to be a long time to wait. Of course I did not sleep well at all with anticipation. I woke up at 5 a.m. and started getting ready to go so we would be ahead of rush hour in Atlanta.
Brooke and baby are doing well and they will go home on Wednesday. We are home right now to get some rest and a shower and then we will go back for a little while tonight.
The comments that each one of you have left means more than you know.
Thank you so much. I wish I had time to respond to each one.
I still want to share my trip with you this past weekend as soon as I can.
I am linking this post to Heart and Home for Gratitude Wednesday.
