We Gathered Together

10.13.2010

This week I want to show you the other table that was set when my family came for dinner a few weeks ago. I shared the dining room table with you and now I want to show you the breakfast room table. If you missed the dining room table setting you can see it here.
We don't all get together often so we enjoyed this time together.

This was a casual setting since we were having barbeque.

The large red cups were used for brunswick stew, but not to be filled up since they are quite large.

Used a tureen filled with hydrangeas and a little bird for the centerpiece.

Red handled flatware from Target.

Salt and pepper shakers from Home Goods.

Plates from Home Goods last year on my wicker chargers from Nell Hill's on line.

Toile napkins from Williams Sonoma several years ago.

Glasses from Pottery Barn several years ago.

The menu was:
pulled pork
buns
slaw
brunswick stew
cheesy potatoes
smores made out on the deck
and chocolate trifle

Linking to Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

Thanks so much for the many kind comments on my kitchen.

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  31. Kim, love the table setting, have a question about chargers. It's not something i'm familiar with. Are they place mats? Though i think i've seen u use plates as charagers before. What sort of size are they meant to be?

  52. I just got the new pottery barn holiday catalog... swooning all the way through.

I need your help again Kim. I have not found an appealing window treatment for our dining room/keeping room windows. I'm going to e-mail you a few pics in the new couple of days, and ask your opinion. Maybe you'll come across something that will actually look good. Right now, I'm stumped. The other problem is husband doesn't want too much of the window and view obscured. But it needs something. HELP!
