Christmas Foyer 2009

11.26.2010

I thought I would share some more of my Christmas decorations from last year since I wasn't blogging then. I think I am decorating a little differently this year. These are not the best photos since this was before blogging. I did post these to rate my space last year, but that is a whole other story.

This is what I set up in the foyer. I think is has a vintage feel to it.

I went on a holiday home tour and then went in a little gift shop and found this little cardboard house with the light in it and just knew I wanted to use it some how.  I then found the deer, trees, and carolers and I already had the lantern.

Love this vintage looking Santa face.

The snow is batting purchased at Hobby Lobby with artificial snow sprinkled on top.

Now the mirror has been moved and the chest is painted and moved. So many changes since last year.
Not sure what I am doing this year, but it usually comes to me when I start pulling all the stuff out.

  2. Very cute, Kim. It will be interesting to see how your look evolves this year. I change things around every year too. There are years I don't even put it all out.

I just got home from work and am so tired I could lie down and veg out for the night! Matter of fact, I may just do that - I have to be back at work by 6am.

Hope your day was wonderful~ Hugs- Diana

  20. Kim,
I have to take my Thanksgiving decor down and like you I am not sure what will inspire me until I pull out my Christmas decorations.
I just did a post on natural Christmas elements so I am in the mood to do a more traditional Christmas... at least for today.
I think the santa on your mirror is beautiful. What a great piece!

  23. Thanks Kim, I really appreciate your comments it was quite scary. Your last years foyer vignette was wonderful. I love the Christmas carolers. You created a wonderful scene. I understand what you mean about not knowing what your going to do until you get started. I am sure you will come up with something just as great this year. I bet you must be having a ball with your grands. Enjoy! I can't wait to see what you get started on first though!
