Of Course There Were Changes

11.29.2010

I knew when we went to my sister's house for Thanksgiving that I would be taking some pictures of her tables to share, but of course she had already made some decor changes so I thought I would share them, too.

She switched out the green glazed chest she had here with this little chest that was in her bedroom. This chest was brown and she painted it white. You can see a bit of her zebra rug, too.

This is the way it looked before just a few weeks ago.

The vignette on top changed, too. She changed the lamp and the bowl that was there before.

This was the table setting in the dining room.

This is an extra table that was set up in the living room. I love this shabby chic tablecloth.

This vignette has changed some. Now using a different lamp with a white shade.

This is a shot of the before.

She got quite crafty here. She took a framed picture and covered the picture area with fabric and then took this piece of a pillow cover and glued it to the front.

This is another one she did and attached this branch to the front.

This is a stack of books that were tied together in a fun way that she found at an antique store.
May have to copy this idea.

Love this linen topper.

There was also a table set in the breakfast room, but I did not get pictures of it since it was so crowded.

Now I have got to go get started on my Christmas decorating now that the house is empty again.

Hope your week is wonderful!

  13. Wow, creativeness runs in the family, I get such a kick out of the antlers, I might have to paint some white. The huge pedestal with the green plant on it is quite a show stopper. I could almost smell some great food coming out of the kitchen.

  18. It looks great, Kim. She certainly has a good eye for things. I can see where you girls have lots in common. I love that sweet little table in the living room. The shabby chic tablecloth is just precious. Was that a kid's table...or just a "anyone can sit there" table. We always do a kid's table in the corner when we go to my daughter's house. They love having their own little place. Have a good week. I spent all day in bed..the first time I have done that in years...I was coughing and not feeling well at all. Popping into blogland for a break from bed. Tomorrow should be a much more productive day for me! hugs- Love the post, as always! Diana

  39. Hi Kim,
I am a brand new girl on the block of blogworld. I did a post tonight about tea dyed books. I couldn't find your post where you talk about how you made yours, but I found your post about your sister's house and saw the books that inspired you. I mentioned you in my post about the books. Forgive my bumbling! I don't know how to post a link to your blog yet. I don't know anything yet. Heck, tonight I just learned how to post pictures! Yeah for me! Anyway, My blog is http://timewilltell-marie.blogspot.com/. As of now, I only have 3 posts. I hope you'll check out my brand spanking new blog.

    Thanks,
    Marie
