Tour Of Sister's House Again Part 1

11.05.2010

First let me say thank you again for participating in my first party!! I cannot believe that so far I have 92 entries!! I was expecting maybe 20 so you made my first party a blast!

Today I picked my mom up and we went to my sister's house to celebrate her birthday which fell on Halloween. We always try to get together for lunch and a little shopping for each of our birthdays. Well, of course I took my camera just in case things had been changed up a bit.
That is an understatement for sure! Her house was full of changes. You think I change things a lot. Not compared to my sister.

Are you ready for some eye candy? Let's start in the foyer.

sorry about this photo quality it was cloudy out and I am surprised any of them turned out

Now turn right into the front living room

Don't you just love all the old books, silver, ironstone, and natural items.?

I have more to share soon!

Please have a great weekend. Not sure, but I may be taking a teeny tiny break.
I'll be back very soon though.

Y'all come back now,

KIM

  3. Wow! I'm the first to comment today. Ha! I had so much fun yesterday. Thanks for taking the time to share my home on your blog. That's such a compliment! Your photography skills have a way of making everything look so much better. Ha! I decided not to put my table topper (that I bought yesterday) on the table. Instead I have it folded and draped as an accent over the ottoman in the family room. Still may move it though. You know how that is! Ha! But, I really love it and I'm glad I got it. I may go back and get that fern picture I saw. I really liked it and sort of wished I had gotten it too. Hope your new items look good in your home too.

  7. Beautiful...thanks for taking us on a tour of her house.

I can't believe how people are using antlers for decoration. Mr. Sweet has been a hunter forever and we have had ole antlers by the sacks full...still do. He makes knife handles out of them for his handmade knives...and I never DREAMED of using any for decorating with. hmmmm

  18. very pretty! She should start a blog =) I especially love the hydrangeas with the sticks in the silver urn, and the tassels. I am starting to make tassels (inspired by Nester) and have a new tassel obsession lol. Have a nice break, but hopefully you'll be back soon-I'll miss your posts!

  19. Aww Man! Don't break too long I really want to see the rest of her house! I love that she changes up as much as you, that assures us much eye candy often. LOL! Very pretty! Does she paint furniture like you, I was wondering about the foyer table. I also love the birds on the framed glass in the foyer. Thats a very pretty unusual piece. She has such great style!
