A Little Christmas in the Master

12.03.2010

I don't do a whole lot of decorating in the bedrooms for Christmas except for making the rooms feel a little warmer and cozier and maybe a few ornaments thrown in.

I added a few things just to this side of the room.

I just added some white ornaments to these branches that were already in this vase.

I added this vintage looking Santa in it's blue suit since there is blue in this bedroom.

Hung this woven glittered star from the shutters with a strand of burlap.
This was purchased last year at Pier One.

This is the softest vintage throw from Italy that I found at a flea market last year.

This is a Pottery Barn cable knit stocking that my daughter gave me a few years ago. I have two and just placed one on this old chair.

Santa is surrounded by the prettiest grand girls.

That's it for a little Christmas in the master.

  8. As I'm sure you'd never guess ... I love this! The festive touches make your master look even more inviting and cozy! Love the vintage Santa ... the stockings are so crisp, yet warm ... and, my fave are the balls hanging on your branches ... probably because I did the same thing in my dining room this year vs. adding a tree in there. I ordered white Manzanita branches, which I added red, apple green and silver too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful space of yours! *Becca*

  23. I haven't done anything in the master, but the kids have mini trees - they are all funky colored and kid-like, so I didn't include them in my photos..lol..

and I put a small tree in the tiny upstairs hallway between their rooms. Love your old fashioned blue santa, and the bench with burlap roll pillow - great touch.

  24. You just may be my creative director! I have a cream vase very similar to yours out on my front porch. My husband brought home what looks like the exact same branches from wi. (he hunts). Re: the ornaments. I have been racking my brain to figure out how to "hang" small ornaments on the branches. How did you do it?

  64. I just did one little vignette in my bedroom. I used to put lights on a huge plant that was on the top of our television cabinet...but with the flatscreen, no cabinet anymore and no plant! I love how you always have a throw "tossed" on your beds. When I try that it seems sloppy to me, but you have a way of making it look elegant.

Giveaway on my post today if you haven't been there yet!
