for the love of a house

1.22.2011

I was blog hopping the other day and found this glorious blog with the most wonderful home that I could just pack my bags and move in to. Now of course I love my home, but I would love to fix up an old farm house. I have always wanted to restore an older home with wide planked creaky floors and wavy glass windows. I love the charm and history of these old homes. Oh, and what fun to decorate.

Some of you have probably already been reading this blog, but some how I just stumbled upon it.

for the love of a house is a blog that shares the story of a move from Dallas, Texas to a small
town in New Hampshire and turning this old farm house into their home.

Enjoy a few photos of this charming home.

This is the first room I saw when I opened up her blog. This is the breakfast room and it
is just perfect. Oh, how I would love to sit by that fire in the morning and sip my coffee.

Can you say yum!

I really want this kitchen. So much charm.

Love that staircase and the wonderful hardwood floors.

They kept the original worn treads. If these floors could talk.

She has the most wonderful collections.

And beautiful antiques.

Well, I don't want to share it all. Please grab you something to drink and get comfy because
there is a lot of eye candy in this home

Be sure and say hi to Joan.  She will appreciate your visit.

Thank you Joan for letting me share your wonderful home and blog.

Enjoy the weekend,

KIM

  8. Sigh. I have the same table, and white chairs, so why doesn't my dining room look like that? If I didn't have a million things to do today, I'd jump right up and get to work on it!
