Want to See?

1.13.2011

O.k. the walls are finished and now on to freshening up some of the trim. I will be down on my knees painting the baseboards that show. Yes, I am lazy and we already moved the furniture back in place last night while the man was here. Why paint trim that no one will see? If we were trying to sell the house then I would have painted all of it, but we aren't going anywhere. I still have some more things to do in this room, but here are some shots of the new color.

Still green, but a different tone. I love green.

Come back later and I will show you the many layers of the bed.
So glad I saved this bedding for a different look.

Thanks to everyone who joined my party this week. Still going if you want to join.

Still very very cold here, but somewhat warmer weather this weekend. I am so ready for the
snow to melt and go away. I have not left this house all week.

See you later,

KIM

 What it looks like still!

  2. Oh!! I love the bedding! Glad you saved it and can't wait to see the room put together! You have been busier than me, my friend! I am trying to organize my Christmas stuff and get it put away. Between my mom and being sick, I am WAY behind! I know you are going to be sore from painting that trim!! Have a great day!

  3. Since I messed up my entry on your BTB Party, I wanted to be the first to comment, but Rene beat me!!! Anyway, I have that same comforter, and we used it for our "winter look" in the master bedroom before we moved. Can't wait to see how you dress up guest bed with it.

  5. Green is my favorite color Kim. In fact, I have a similar color in my master and sitting rooms. I love it. Can't wait to see yours all finished!

  6. It is very snowy here too (which is unusual for Vancouver Island). School was closed yesterday, so it was the perfect opportunity for me to paint also. It wasn't anything blog worthy though-doors. Boring, but a fresh coat of paint sure spruces them up!

  10. Susie, the color is dill weed by Benjamin Moore and this room gets a lot of light. For me it would be too dark in a room with no light, but is perfect in this room. Thanks

  13. Like that shade of green - it is the color of my 1/2 bath.
I have not been out all week either and I really need to. Still have snow on the ground many places here also.
    Stay warm.

  14. Pretty, pretty !! The wall color is so soothing (green seems to be a hot color this year). And, beautiful bedding, too.

  15. I love the color Kim. I want to add more color to our home, this year.

I save bedding back for different looks, also.

I'll be ready to get out of the house by this weekend. J says more "weather" is predicted, though. I remember the years we lived in the back pasture at the farm and didn't leave the place for days. That is one of the things I don't miss about the farm. Snowy days and no computer!! How did I ever manage. Oh no! ;-) I certainly watched a lot of hgtv, though. I think that saved some of my sanity.

  30. Love the color, it looks similar to one I have in my Living Room. I am still working on the trim, whether to paint it white or just buy new (I know that is the lazy way?) I wish I had all of your energy though, you are on a 2011 roll of activity.
    Thanks for sharing

  31. I've been hunkered down in our house all week, too -- combination snow and head cold! but I haven't been nearly as productive as you -- love the green you chose for the walls. And that bedding is gorgeous.

I'm a sucker for rose prints anyway.

I had to laugh at your plans to only paint baseboards that show. You are my kind of pragmatist!

  34. I am lovin' that green, Kim!!

Does a ball of yarn that is transformed into a garment count as a boring to better? LOL! That's about all I could claim any effort on these days.

Stay warm!! I'm hoping this cold passes soon! Brrrrr!
