I Won and I Shopped

3.03.2011

A few weeks ago I won a Home Goods gift card for $25 from the blog A Little Peace of Home. Another reason I love blogging, winning and shopping. I went to Home Goods yesterday since the card was burning a hole in my pocket and I was not sure what I was going to get so I browsed the aisles till I spotted something I could use.

I found this little painting  and decided it needed to come home with me.

Isn't it cute? I was drawn to the little bicycle parked in front of this red door.

I hung my majolica looking plate above it since it has been sitting in a drawer and placed
both on this wall at the staircase.

This is what you see when you come in the front door now. I did have a horse print here, but it has found a new spot and I will be sharing that with you soon. I love the new spot it is in and I think you will too.

This painting was $49 so I paid $25 out of pocket. Not bad and it is a nice frame.
Not sure whether to leave the frame as it is or to paint it. What do you think?

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

KIM

  37. I wish we had Home Goods here! I would buy that painting...but since we don't, I may attempt to paint it myself. I personally love the way the frame has both touches of white and gold and think it really compliments the painting itself. I would not change a thing.
    You lucky gal!
