Three Different Ways

4.11.2011

If you have followed my blog any length of time you know I am always changing things up. I thought I would share my latest vignette on top of the yellow t.v. cabinet in my sun room. I ended up trying three different items on the stack of books for three different looks.

First up is my concrete rooster in all his shabby goodness.

I have had these monkey bookends for years and thought I would use them here.

I also have had this little bamboo lamp for years. I purchased it at Lowes.

Then I remembered this old piece that I have. It was black and I painted it white. This could be a nice Easter look with the eggs added to the wheelbarrow or I could add some greenery for a garden look.

I purchased the girl pushing the wheelbarrow at Ross for $12.99.

For another look I added my newest chippy urn that I purchased at the antique mall recently.

Added this greenery from the same antique mall.

I love the shape and texture of this urn.
I like the softness that the greenery adds.

That is three different ways to do this vignette.
Always good to change it up a little, I say.

Don't be afraid to use things in different ways and in different parts of your home.
This urn was in my dining room on the buffet and now it is in the sun room.
I like it in both places. Need to find something else like it.

Always changing it up,

KIM

  18. Kim, I love all three, but ohhhhh the rooster! He's darling, and chippy! I have a Rooster that sits on my dining table a great deal of the time, a gift from my husband when we bought our dining table. I just think they're so welcoming, especially to a breakfast table. xxx tami

St. Simons is a beautiful place. It is so funny, I lived on St Simons when I was three and four years old. We then went back every year on holiday.
I actually live on Skidaway Island off the coast of Savannah. The water in the pics today was the intercoastal waterway and Moon River. It was beautiful this weekend. Hugs, Ginger
