Atlanta Blogger's Lunch

5.01.2011

It was so much fun meeting fellow bloggers from this area and some non bloggers, too who came to meet the person behind the blogs they read. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we enjoyed good food and fellowship. Believe it or not I was the only one who brought a camera. What? Bloggers with no camera? Yep, that is right and I did not do a very good job of getting good photos. It is hard to get pics of folks eating. I met some bloggers that I already knew from reading their blogs and met some new girls, too.

I know you must recognize a couple of these folks. I would name each person here if I was good with names, but I am afraid I will leave out somebody. A patron of the restaurant took this shot of us.
Thank you Tracy for editing this photo in photoshop and sending it to me.

Here are some random shots.

Babs, at the end of the table in the green sweater, is a new blogger and she lives down the street from me. I asked her if she wanted to go with me and she did. It was so nice to meet her. We did a little antique shopping afterwards and I got a pretty sweet deal on something I collect. I will share it later. I also found some nice bookends that I have been needing. Finally some nice ones at a good price. They were in another decor shop we stopped by.

So much fun. I look forward to doing this again.

Thank you, Rhoda for putting this together!

If you can, you should try to get a blogger luncheon like this together in your area.

Enjoy your day. I am going out to do some yard work.

  3. I have been "threatening" to put together a blogger lunch in my home for the SF Bay area bloggers. Keep finding excuses not to though. It looks like you girls were having a blast. ~Delores
PS: I'm in the garden too today, getting my hands dirty! Why can't I just wear gloves?

  16. That just looks like loads of fun! Maybe you all have started something... How would you find out who blogs about the same stuff in a city? I have heard of no one from Kansas City, and there must be some, wouldn't you think?

  17. I know of about three bloggers in my area. We haven't done this. Now if Dallas, 90 miles away, were to do it, there would be lots. So glad you got to have fun and find a pretty for yourself as well!

  29. Hi, Kim. I really really thought about driving up to Atlanta to meet y'all but so glad I didn't. My dear sweet mom passed away yesterday. Quite a shock, actually. She had fallen and wasn't doing well but things quickly went downhill from there. Maybe the next time....

  31. So enjoyed meeting you, Kim at our first blogger's luncheon. Thank you for all of the info on the chalk paint. I think I'm hooked, just trying to figure out which color to get first!
