It's Huge

5.08.2011

I know you don't want to visit this room again, but this is where you will find my Mother's day gift from Mr. Savvy. He didn't even know he was getting me this, but he did. he he. When I went with my mom to Ethan Allen several weeks ago I saw this and had to have it. I had seen it years ago and thought they quit carrying it, but they still do. So come on in and I will show you.

Here it is. This is a HUGE sign and I thought it would be great in this room.

Here you go now you can get a better idea of how it looks in the room. I think it is perfect
for filling up that huge space above the bookcase. This is looking in from the front door.
For those of you who are new around here this is my living room that is kind of a sitting room/library that I am slowly adding vintage worn books to and it is filled with hunt scenes, silver, and transferware. Kind of an English country style going on in here.

Here are a few of my crusty worn leather bound books that I have and am hunting for more.

Here is one of my new bookends I just found last weekend at a home decor shop. I have been searching for the perfect ones and I love these.

Other side.

Transferware platter from ebay called Myott's Country Life.

This is still my favorite silver find.

Love the monogram. Makes me wonder who this belonged to.

I have moved things around on these shelves. I found this old yarn spool at Scott Antique Market a couple of months ago and it works great to hold this vintage riding hat. The bronze dog was a flea market find a while back.

I brought my silver champagne bucket back in here from the foyer and moved my chalkware collie over to this end table. Both found at the antique mall last year.

Next I will show you what my children surprised me with this year.
What did you get? I would love to know.

Have a super week!

KIM

My hubby told me to get a pedi this week. Is that a lazy man's way out or what? But I'll take it!

I walk at night with it and just play it all the time in the house. My first one was misplaced. I actually think it was taken at the car dealership, but who knows. I love it and needed it! 45. Mr. Savvy has such great taste! He just knew that sign would be perfect and it is! ;)

Let's see...yesterday I bought new clothes for my college aged daughter, who is not a mother and had better not be one anytime soon! So, she got the gift and I got the bill.

Mr M&M took me out for Mexican food and bought me a jumbo margarita. So, I also got a hangover!

Hmmm, hoping for better luck next year!

Thanks for sharing! Oh, love the old crusty books, too. I have a few myself and love the feel of them.
