A Me Day and Wow Us Wednesdays 18

Do you ever have a me day? We all need a me day and that is what I had today. I have been working so hard on this house lately and have been painting the deck the last three days and I cut the grass in this heat. So today I had a me day.

I went to my favorite antique mall and scored some pretty good deals. So glad I went today. Let's take a look.

I found these great vintage books in a booth. I don't usually luck up on these there, but today I did.

I love the print on this book.

Linda from Nina's Nest blog told me this information.  Verlaine was a French poet (whose poem "chanson d'Automne"was used among as code for the French Resistance broadcasts to alert them of the D-Day attack date). The word "Bibliothèque -Charpentier" means Library at Charpentier.

This is a Danish bible.

For those of you who have collected vintage books you know how expensive they can be. I bought all five of these for $45. I think that was a great deal.

I was on the hunt for a large vintage jar and this one is perfect.

I also lucked up and found this large down filled pillow in my favorite booth there. Usually I don't buy from this booth because her prices are up there. Today this pillow was marked down from $99 to $40!
Sold!

After I left the antique mall I stopped by two children's consignment shops to find some stuff to have here at the house when I keep Leila. I lucked up and will share those things another day.
All and all a good me day.

Now it is time for you to share your wows this week.

Check the post before this one with highlights from last week to see if you were featured. There were several.

Kim, you and I have the same sentiment for old books. Last year I found about 7 of these old 1880's books - leather bound, marbled papers - for 4.99 each. Now they are home with me...amongst my vignettes. Will do a little post of them soon.

LOVE your collections!!
