Back to Red and Other Tidbits

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours has not been the best. It was supposed to be a fun weekend away. When we got in our hotel room on Friday we had some wet carpet issues from the air conditioner. With the stinch that comes from wet carpet and having to wait till morning to be moved I did not sleep good at all. Then we got the call about the passing of our brother in law and had to leave a day early.  Lack of sleep is catching up with me. I am behind visiting your blogs and hope you understand. I had prepared a couple of posts for when we were gone that I had put on a schedule to publish. Love that feature.

Thank you so much for your prayers and condolences. We have been at the funeral home all afternoon and will return for the service tomorrow afternoon.

Now on to this post that I had already prepared last week for today.

***********************************************************************

A few weeks ago I decided to put the red rug back in my sun room. Why? Because Leila is on the move now and the other rug would be too rough on her little body and this is the room we hang out in. I am so glad I hung onto this rug. Sometimes it pays to have a hoarding room. :)

I purchased this rug several years ago from Crate & Barrel at a very good price. It is cotton and soft.

This is the before with the brown bordered sea grass rug. I will hang on to it when I want to change it again.

This rug does feel so much better under my bare feet.

This is my new pillow cover that I added in here. I love this print and color.

Here is a close up of the fabric. Y'all know I am loving me some bovine lately.

This is the flip side. Ann from On Sutton Place sent this to me for featuring her blog. I do not expect anything for doing that, but she sent it anyway. She made this a while back and said she didn't have a place for it and knew I had this fabric in my dining room, but when I saw the yellow cow toile side I knew it would be perfect in the sun room for now. Thank you, Ann.

I wanted my copper pot hanging back in the kitchen on the pot rack so I placed my fern in this
basket with liner from Pottery Barn that was in the kitchen holding cookbooks. Just a switch.

My succulents are doing well except the one in the back had a couple of those white sticky bugs on it. I pulled them off. Not sure what to use on it. Any ideas? I have not had succulents before.

I switched the black urn that was here with this yellow wire urn that was in the foyer holding umbrellas. I added some brown burlap that I had and stuck the vines in.

That's it for my rambling and changes.

Have a super week and try to stay cool.
It is so hot and dry here and my yard is brown and crispy.
Praying for rain and cooler temps!

We are off to see Cowboys and Aliens. The Mr. has been wanting to go see it.
