Mixed

8.11.2011

I made a few changes to the arrangement on the mantel a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what to call it so "mixed" kind of fits since it is just a mix of things I had here plus an old bottle I found at the antique mall in Alabama when we drove through. I told y'all I found some good deals. The vintage olive jar was one of them that I showed you here. I also got some great deals on ironstone that I will share soon.

See I told you it was a bit of a mix. I placed my sea fan in the back and layered the turtle shell in front and then added my new old bottle, that was only six dollars, and my stand with the twig thing on it.

Close up of the bottle. I have seen these cost much more so I grabbed it.

These vintage jars are on the other side.

The lighthouse picture leans against the mirror for another layer.
Liking this for now until a change for fall. I think I need to get a new mat for the picture.

Is it really Thursday again?? Enjoy the weekend!

  24. So simple, but so gorgeous! I keep telling the mister that he needs to add another shelf layer on top of our mantle. Ours is so narrow, I can't fit anything on it! I love how you can put your olive jars and chunky things up there! That sea fan is to die for. I have been looking for one, but haven't come across it yet!
