Vase Ideas

8.27.2011

The theme this week at the SNS party at Funky Junk Interiors is "things as vases". I went through some of my stored photos and found several ideas I have shared in the past. I thought I would share these again for the party.

vintage mason jars

vintage coffee kettle

planter

ironstone sugar bowl and silver revere bowl

pottery

iron lattice bowl

ironstone pitcher

vintage picnic basket

There are so many different items to be used as vases.

  3. Beautiful photos! I inherited a knack/interest in flower arranging from my mother. Often, I hear her speaking to me, as I place a flower or pick the vase. Beautiful, fresh flowers add so much to a room, and one of my favorite things about summer is to be able to walk out into the garden and pick what will soon become a beautiful arrangement!

  9. Funny that you should put this post up, when just this morning I was looking at my vase shelf and thinking that it needs a good clearing out and a trip to drop some off at the Salvation Army store.

  13. Great ideas Kim. I use pitchers all the time for flowers, my favorite is filling them with tulips. Have a great weekend! We're busy putting all the patio furniture in the shed just in case Irene hit's hard! Martina

  14. Wonderful ideas Kim. I have an Ironstone coffee pot I bought without a lid (and it was really inexpensive that way) to hold flowers. I love the basket idea.
