Pics From Last Weekend

10.01.2011

I took a few pictures at the first antique mall we stopped in and then didn't bother at the next several because it would have taken too much time. I was on a mission to shop in as many places as I could before we had to head home.

The prices on demijohns are so much better here than the Atlanta area.

I kind of wanted this, but the mr. said no.

Oh, how I loved this iron bed.

This is a close up of the headboard.

Started to buy this dog with the pheasant in his mouth.

More dogs

Subway art anyone?

I will be showing you my favorite find from here soon.

I am not telling you where this is because I want to see if one of my readers recognizes it.
I wish I had had time to meet with her, but so little time and so much to see and buy! Hopefully next time I will have more time.

Leila today making her funny face at a lady.

We have a little guest sleeping over tonight.

Have a good one!

  4. That antique store looked wonderful! So many great things for sale. I saw some topiaries I liked and their was a really cool looking zebra rug in one of those pics that caught me eye. I also liked the subway art. Can't wait to see what you bought!

  5. Could it be "Sandstone Gardens" in Joplin, Mo.? I have no idea where you live - maybe Atlanta since you referenced it. If not the Sandstone Gardens then I know you would love it 'cause it looks just like your photos - a piece of Heaven for yummy home things.

    Your sweet Leila is gorgeous.
    My grandmother's name was Leila.

  8. I would have bought the iron bed and that giant bicycle wheel. And have NO place to put either one. I'd leave them in the front hall and just have people SEE them. Great pictures : )
Where are you antiquing? I just go around Atlanta or once in a while up through the Blueridge Mtns on my way to see friends in Tennessee...

  18. Have fun with the sleepover. That little one will steal your heart! She can make faces at me all day.

We just don't have shopping like this. We stopped at an antique store the other day and it was just depressing. I could buy a lot of things from your stop but not one thing from the one we stopped at on the way to my niece's wedding.
