Thumbs Up

I want to recommend a good movie to go see this weekend. Mr. Savvy and I saw Real Steel this week and it really is a good story. Anyone can watch this movie. I am sure any little boy or big boy would love it. It is the number one movie right now. I know most women think they wouldn't care for a movie about fighting robots, but this is more than that. Hugh isn't bad to look at either!

The overview from

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

As we were walking out Mr. Savvy said it was really good and he said he even had a little tear. It does have laughter and a few little teary parts in it. Just a good heart warming story with bots thrown in.

So go to the theater and get a big bag of popcorn and a drink and enjoy!

Cannot remember the last time we went to a movie! We usually go when it is cold outside, rarely in the warmer weather.
