Christmas Morning

12.26.2011

What should have been a very happy morning was a mix of tears and smiles. Miss Leila wasn't feeling very well so there were several crying episodes and then some smiles and fun when she opened her presents.

New dress from Great Grandmother.

When your dad is a police officer you must have a remote controlled police car. I think this was more for Dad.

She loved her new alphabet puzzle and her new table and chairs.

A new bed for her baby dolls.

A little tear is sitting under her eye.

Oh, and  Bailey played the xylophone for us. She was moving so quickly that the picture is a blur.
She is really quite good!

Then she bites it. Not to worry this is an old toy and my daughter really wants Bailey to have it. She likes it a lot more than Leila does.

Now I am taking down the dead tree and tossing it out. The decorations are being boxed up and stored away until next year.

Have a great day!

  2. Oh these pictures do my heart good! She is so precious. You took such awesome pics too. I just love all her new stuff. That little table and chair set is adorable. And what about that cute polka dot chair with her name on it? How perfect is that?! She is so sweet holding her little dolls. I had to laugh when I saw the remote control police car. See? That's why they need to have another one, so Eric and have his boy! Just sayin. Hope she's on the mend, poor thing.

  10. How cute! My dil wasn't feeling well yesterday either, poor girl. Looks like Leila brightened up a bit for the gift opening. She is so cute-even not feeling well. Love the little chair, by the way.

That xylophone? We have had one of those for 12 years and every single kid in the family has played with it...but only our SweetCheeks taught herself to play a couple of real tunes on it! Can Bailey top THAT?;>) Merry Monday- xo Diana

  25. Thanks so much for sharing Leila's Christmas. I do not have and children in my house any longer. My grandson is grown and serving in Afghanistan (Marines). My son is also in Afghanistan this Christmas. It just does not seem like Christmas without sharing a child's joy. Thanks, and Happy New Year!!
