The Kitchen

12.09.2011

I wasn't going to decorate the kitchen, but then I thought I would add just a few things. After all this is the hub of the house and where everyone migrates, too. I added just a few things that carry on the old fashioned vintage theme. So here are some photos without many words.

This will be ready for little hands to grab a cookie or two.

Italian stone pine bought at Home Depot and wrapped in ticking.

three dollars at a local antique mall

Glue dots, of course

Adding these few things did add some Christmas cheer.

My son, dil, and grands are coming for the weekend so I will be enjoying some family time.
Have a super duper weekend!

  1. Always decorate the room you spend the most time in so that it makes you happy when doing "your daily chores"..You have accomplished that so beautifully. I would definitely do dishes in your kitchen with a smile on my face!

  11. I love your kitchen, Kim! The silver bowl with the greenery and red ornaments is my favorite... I may have to copy that :) I had that same tall bronze hurricane, but one of the neighbor kids knocked it over and broke the glass. So now it's just a candle holder. I miss it now that I see how pretty yours looks all decorated for Christmas!

  15. It looks wonderful, Kim! I Love, Love that apothecary jar with the metal(?) top and base! I usually look to see what I have left over when it comes to my kitchen. It's usually the last place I decorate because I really don't like a lot of stuff on the counters. At least here in the new place I can look up and just do the tops of the cabinets, which I'll have to plan for when I hit the after Christmas sales! : )
