Again

Now I am ready to show y'all the newest look of the sun room again. I had told y'all in an earlier post after I revealed the new look that it had taken on a bird theme and that was not the new look I was going for so with a few changes it is now where I want it. Well, for the time being.

This WAS the new look, but not quite right.

This is her new look. When I ordered a small 2 x 3 version of this rug from Joss & Main I brought it in here and just loved it so I went on the hunt for a larger one and found it on wayfair.com formerly csn.com.

I thought I could live with the neutral rug, but nope nada. I love this rug. It is 100% wool. Probably the most I have ever spent on a rug this size, too. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

I added old grain sacks to the wicker chairs.

I added this bull to the basket just for the heck of it.

Bought this candle holder from Wuslu just like my sister did. Neither one of us knew the other had ordered it.

I believe it has more of the look I was going for now.
Gotta love that red rug.

Hi Kim, love the red rug, and all the grain sacks and pillows you have used in the new room. Very pretty - as always.

I really love it! The new rug is a great contrast to the neutral colors that you've got and ties in with the other pops of red in the room. You can't go wrong with a wool rug either. It will last forever!

I do love that red rug. It makes the other red accents stand out more like the grain sack stripes. And, yes, it is important sometimes to "bite the bullet" and get a really fabulous piece. I tell my husband it's an investment!

HI Kim, Oh my gosh I love that RED RUG! THAT changed the entire look of the room and it is wonderful. Love how it ties in with the red stripe in the grain sack. Wow! I think you need to splurge on one more thing though...hahaha...just one more! How about a little glossy red planter with ivy spilling out of it somewhere? Just a thought...one can never have too much red...it is a happy color. And that describes your room, it is happy. Just walking in it would make you happy! Great job decorating and great post.
Blessings,

I know what you mean about biting the bullet ... I just did that yesterday and bought 2 new French looking floor mats that I'll be blogging about eventually.

Your room continues to look very pretty, Kim. The pop of red looks great, especially with the little bits of red in the grain sacks, upholstery and accessories. You must be so comfortable in your sunroom.

LL from KS said...

I love what you've done to your sun room! Not that anything was wrong with how it was before, but we women like to change things up! I think rearranging and redoing rooms is what gives a home some life. It shouldn't be stagnant! Btw, I also bought that candle holder from wuslu, but I thought it had kind of a scientific, laboratory look(don't know why, just how my brain saw it) so instead of using it for a candle I sat a real birds nest on it. It looks like it is on display to study, like something you'd see in a nature gallery.

LL, I think it has that look, too and what a great idea putting a nest behind the glass. May have to borrow that idea.
