Six for Six

4.22.2012

While looking around at the Ballard's Back Room outlet store I found some of their chandelier shades that I have always liked, but was not willing to pay what they want for them at the regular catalog price. After all I do try to show you how to achieve the look without the price.

These are very similar to the burlap shades that I had here previously. You can see them here.

I just couldn't pass these up. These are a nice quality linen.

As you can see this is before I moved the cow canvases last week.

I do love the way they look, but actually I have already taken them back off. The linen part is a little too light for me and they don't work well with the new look in here which you will see soon.

If I use them fine and if I don't it is not a big deal since they were only six for six!
Regular Ballard's price is $18 each. That would be $108 plus tax for six!

I think I got a really good deal.

  2. Wow, great buy, Kim! You're right, at that price, it's good to hold onto them anyway. Who knows, you may get another chandy you can use them on if you don't use them here.

  22. Definitely a great price Kim. Why are these little shades so expensive everywhere? You never know when you're going to want to change things up, so it's good you kept them.

  23. I'm into the burlap look these days, so of course I love it. I am glad that I saw the new thatching picture before this post however, because in the distance to my old eyes it looked like a wooly mammoth! Guess it's time to also wear the glasses when I read the computer.

  26. Very great deal, but if you decide not to use them, you could get way more than you paid for them even if you sold them at the consignment store.
Can't wait to see what you are up to now!

  27. Pretty shades, Kim! And at that price, it's worth it to stow them away until you find just the right place for them. Enjoy your week!
