Come Hang With Me

5.28.2012

Hope you are enjoying a fabulous holiday weekend. I have been working in the yard and hubby has been working on the garden. We are having to put a fence around it before the deer discover it and decide to have it for dinner. I will share pictures soon.

Saturday was so hot and no breeze. Sunday we had wonderful breezes blowing in from the east due to a tropical depression off the coast. How wonderful these winds felt. Perfect time to set the hammock out and take a little break.

I just hung the hammock and grabbed a matelasse coverlet, vintage quilt, and some pillows to make a comfy spot to rest and enjoy the breeze.

I love how a gust of wind blew the covers up in this shot.

Come hang with me. I'll slide over.
Oh, but bring the hamburgers and hot dogs, want you?
We have a crappy grill and I won't use it.

Happy Memorial Day!
Please take a moment to remember our fallen servicemen.
I am so thankful for those who are serving this country and the sacrifices made.

Sharing this at Thistlewood Farm for The Great Outdoors Party.
I was going to share our first garden, but rain has kept me from getting pictures.

  5. Your hammock is just lovely- a true vision of Summer Living! That's what I WAS GOING to do today - drag out hammock out of the back garage. However, SOMEONE has moved a bunch of crap....er-useful stuff...in front of it and I am going to need help getting it out. MyHero was on call all weekend and has been gone just about all day long. Maybe tomorrow- xo Diana

  15. Oh how I (and my girls) love a hammock! It broke apart before our last move and now we have nowhere to place a new one.

With that nearby pond- I will happily bring hot dogs, burgers, sides, cocktails, whatever you want - just so i can lounge here!

Hope you have an amazing, relaxing Memorial Day!
