Birds in the Guest Room

I was asked when I shared the other guest room, where my son and dil stay, where do the kids sleep. They sleep in the guest room right across the hall except the baby. He sleeps in the room with his parents.

If you missed this room a few months ago I had different bedding on here for the winter months. I love bringing the bird bedding back out. At least there are no dandelions on this bedding.

At first I couldn't find the duvet cover and one of the shams. I looked everywhere and started to panic a bit.

I finally came across the missing pieces a couple of days later on the very bottom of the stack of pillows and duvets stored in the closet and I was just overlooking them.

I lucked up several years ago finding a bedskirt with a long drop for this bed on ebay. It is made from white sheets and was only around $20. Can you say bargain?

Rachele, the three year old sleeps in the big bed and Naomi the two year old sleeps in the baby bed. Leila also naps in this bed when I keep her which is twice a week now for a few weeks.

Just because.

All the bedding except the sheets and coverlet are Pottery Barn,
Sheets are Ralph Lauren from Home Goods.
Wall color is Dill Weed by Benjamin Moore.
Lamps, pictures, accessories have been collected over the years.
Bed was purchased at Rooms To Go several years ago.

Hope everyone has a grand weekend!

LOVE this bedding. I have a passion for anything birds. I might have to browse the web and see if its still available if you don't mind that I copy you a bit. I fell in love with this bedding the first time I saw it, but had forgotten all about it. The wall color is perfect with it. This is a very welcoming and cozy looking room. Love the bird lamp and prints. :)

Rachele loved the big girl bed, even if she said she is "kind of little".

Love seeing the bird bedding again, Kim. I loved it from the first time you showed it to us. Great bedskirt. I always have a problem finding one that is just the nice length I like ~ not too long that you are stepping on it, but long enough that it hits the floor.

So VERY charming. Lucky grandkids indeed . . .

I'd lay my head in there, pretty for any age. And because the bed is so high I'd have to play hide and seek under there first since I remember from experience how fun high beds are when you're little. Both getting up on, and hiding under.

You've made your bed and now they must lie in it- and pretty comfortably too it looks to me..we don't have any of those retailers you mentioned over here so even if I wanted I would not be able to buy it.. but I think it's so lovely I may make myself some of this fabric with the birds with either a stencil or some block printing..Havve a great week KIm!!XOXO Bea
