Simple Beauty

Our rose of Sharons are full of buds and blooms. They are such a pretty flower, but don't last very long once they bloom. Good thing there are plenty of buds constantly forming and blooming. Funny, since I started blogging I see things around me differently and think to myself that would make a great shot. I am always running and grabbing my camera. I should just wear it as an accessory.

The pink bushes are in our backyard beside our deck. They grow so tall so quickly. We cut them down to the ground last year after they fell over in a rain storm. Now they are as tall as before.

I clipped some of the pink blooms and some white ones from our front yard bush and filled this white pitcher with them so I can enjoy them inside. These last pretty good in a vase.

All these shots were taken set on P or M with my Canon T3i.

Have a simply beautiful Sunday and Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

Beautiful pics, I pulled our Rose of Sharon bush this year, it was starting to grow sideways. I think someone must have hit it and uprooted it at a strange angle and thats how it continued to grow:( I do wear my camera as an accessory. It is very heavy thought, but you never know when a photo opportunity will jump out at you:)

Oh I love Rose of Sharon! My grandmother had many in her yard and as little girls we made "wedding" boquets with them, wore them in our hair and even pressed them between wax paper and phone books. Sweet memories!

They look gorgeous in that white pitcher. Wish I had that many lovely things growing around my garden. I'd be picking all the time.

If my camera wasn't so heavy, I would be wearing it as an accessory. I have those pink and white blooms too. They are gorgeous. Part of the hibiscus family.

Just beautiful! You r getting pretty darn good with your new camera. I am actually looking for a smaller camera. I get tired of the big one.

Your Rose of Sharons are beautiful. I love this shrub but my husband ran over ours with a lawn mower last year...he thought it was a weed...and it never came back! :o(

I love Rose of Sharon bushes. I remember as a little girl we used to make Southern Belle dolls out of them. If you cut a fully bloomed flower close to the flower and make a slit in the bottom of the flower, you can turn it over to be the "skirt" and then snip off a bud with enough stem on it to fit into the cut you made and that is the "head" of the doll. LOL

Your photographs could not be one iota more beautiful. I'm certain of that. I wanted to slither in through the computer screen to come see those flowers in person because they were so inviting in color and lighting and composition! Thanks for brightening my day by sharing your world through the camera lens!
