Where They Went

A few months ago I shared this loot that I found from several antique shops on a road trip.

I picked up this huge hornet's nest on that trip. I love things from nature and it just amazes me how little bees can build something like this. I never did share where I placed it.

This dog was another piece from that trip.

It ended up in the sitting room/study on top of the bookcase. See it?

The dog has joined a vignette on top of the drum table.

While we are in here I will show you the way the bookcase looks now. It was fluffed a little awhile back.

Something exciting for me took place in this room this week and it did not involve paint.

Want to guess?

Those who follow me on facebook have had a couple of hints.
Will share soon.

Have a super weekend!

I love all your treasures Kim BUT that nest. It creeps me out because I have a fear of wasps and hornets. It all looks fabulous how you have it displayed though!:) You can make anything look awesome!

Love your bee's nest...and your pup, too. Those shelving units just get better and better.

Hmmm...something exciting in the room? Does it involve Mr.Savvy or the removal of any clothing items? Just curious- You better tell me quick cuz you know how crazy my imagination can get!

Happy Friday night- xo Diana

I would never have thought of a hornet's nest as decorative but now I will. It all looks great Kim.

Great finds, Kim. My sister has been here for the past week, so we've been taking a few day trips to do a bit of antique shopping in small towns near Austin. It's been fun to get away and explore. Came home with a few things myself. ;-)
I like to use natural organic elements in our home. The large hornets nest make a statement. Looks nice on the top shelf.

Your bookcase is styled so pretty.

Well done! I love it all - the hornets' nest might make me a little nervous though. I'd be checking regularly to make sure there was nothing left alive in it.

hmmm... you took the helmet off the wall, put it and those boots on and rode?

I love it all. Are those trophies Dog or Horse Trophies? Very nice either way!
