My Skin Care

I have been asked to share what products I use on my face. I know y'all think I look younger than I am in my little photo on the sidebar, but most of y'all have not seen me in person. Come on people, I'm 57 and I do have lines and age spots and it ain't purdy. But I will humor y'all and share what I use. I must say genes have played a huge part though. My mom looks marvelous for almost 80 years young.

I have been using Roc for years. I use this deep wrinkle night cream every night.

I use the daily moisturizer each morning. It has an spf of 30 which is really nice to help fight those UV rays.

I use the multi-correction eye treatment each night, too.

I probably should have started with this first since I do wash my face first with this. Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser.

I must say I grew up a sun worshiper which I know now is so bad for your skin. I think this is why I have so many dark spots. I have been using this product by Clinique and it has helped lighten up a lot of them. I just have some that are so large and dark that they will require a laser treatment that I hope to have done some day.

I use Bare Minerals makeup and have for about ten years. I had acne bad when I was a teen and dealt with breakouts for YEARS until I started using this in my forties. I had tried every foundation out there and went to dermatologists, but nothing cleared up my skin until I found this.

I know just because these work for me doesn't mean they will for you, but some of you may want to give these a try. Roc is not expensive like some beauty products.

Enjoy the weekend.

Disclaimer: I was not compensated in any way by the makers of these products. Just sharing my own opinion.

I have never used the Roc products, Kim, but I will check them out. I use the Bare Minerals, too, and discovered it about 15 years ago. I absolutely love it-it is easy and never looks "made up". Thanks for the info-I hope you have a great weekend- xo Diana

OMG! I love Roc stuff! My favorite is the serum. Just spent $100 on Roc yesterday at Cvs - buy one get one 50% off. Love Bare Minerals too! Also have tried Pur minerals that isn't too bad either. Have a great weekend, Kim.

Well, I have read all the comments and am convinced that I should try Roc. (I love Bare Minerals too!) Hugs, Penny

I don't know Roc at all but I use Clinique and a British line from Boots. It sounds like you have a good regime for your skin and you always look great in your photos!

Love Bare Minerals, I started using it about ten years ago! I also used the Clinique dark spot, used the whole bottle and it didn't do one thing. I've found that skin bleaching works the best, found it at TJMaxx or Marshall's.
I haven't tried the Roc so I'll have to look into that line.
Have a great weekend!

I have seen the product at the store but I have such sensitive skin I had better stick with what works! You are a beautifu woman! I agree!
I worked in the beauty industry for years. I worked at Nordstrom through college (for Bobbi Brown). I must say that the expensive products aren't always best for your skin. It's the packaging that hikes up the cost, as well as the "prestige" but the ingredients are basically the same.
I have always been sensitive to fragrance in my skincare products so I use Bioelements. I love the line! You can only get it online or in salons that use the product, so it can be a pain to find if you run out and forget to restock!
I also like LaMer products but they are really (really) expensive.
Nothing beats organic coconut oil on the skin and hair as a mask!
As an aside, could you stop by my last post (about the Library) and give me your honest opinion?

I don't know if they still have it, but I have purchased ROC deep wrinkle cream at Costco! It was a pretty good deal as I recall!

Seriously...I thought you were younger than me and I'm 53. You look terrific...taking care of yourself really does pay off. Enjoy your Sunday!

I really appreciated this post. I like your honest approach to skin care. I use the Clinique spot corrector, too. I just switched to the men's spot corrector by Clinique. I was told it is a little stronger.

I just started using Roc lately and I like it. I use the facial scrub....Resurfacing Scrub and it scrubs away all those dull dead skin cells and really makes my complexion look much better! Someone above mentioned Bioelements and I have used that too and love it. My favorite eye cream is by Beauti Control but I haven't bought it in years. Right now I am using an eye cream by H20 but when I bought the Beauti Controil (Gold) eye cream I absolutely LOVED it! I'm 38 and trying to fight the crows feet!

I must admit, when I met you at the conference, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful your skin is! Thank you for sharing your secrets! I'm a huge Bare Minerals fan ... just might have to visit the Clinique counter soon!

Well I must say that your skin is beautiful and you can chalk it up to good genes, but even with good genes we all need a bit of help...you obviously have found the right combination of lotions and makeup that have perfected your skin. I remember you had mentioned your products way back, but this senior brain always needs reminding!!....Thanks for sharing this with us!!....:)

Wait.... WHAT? You are 57? You look fantastic. Thanks for sharing your products. I've been wanting to try the ROC products so it's nice to have your opinion.

OMG Kim, when I met you at the conference I thought you were much younger! We are about the same age. Those products are doing their job because you look fabulous! I will have to try to Roc deep wrinkle night cream. Can't use anything with sunscreen because I'm allergic to the chemicals. Yes, it's a real problem finding moisturizers w/o it. That's why I love Bare Minerals. The titanium dioxide is a natural sunscreen that I can use.

Kim - I thought that you look way younger than 57 when I met you at SBC. I am actually shocked to hear that's your age!

I have never tried ROC. I have really sensitive skin and have used Clinique products for over 40 years. I use Bare Minerals, too. I love it. (I haven't seen you in person, but you are a beautiful woman)

Hi Kim! We've never met, but I always assumed from your picture that we were about the same age, and I'm in my 40's! Well, Roc should give you a commission, because I'm going to have to give them a try too. I also want to try the Clinique dark spot corrector. Yeah, I was a sun worshiper too and have a few spots I wouldn't mind getting rid of. I'm so glad you shared about your skin care regimen. It has obviously paid off! Have a great day!

I have been using Bare Minerals for about 6 or 7 years now, and will never use anything else. I've also tried some Roc products that I found on sale, and like those too. Lately I've been using Eclos for skin care, and really like it.

I would never have guessed you were 57. You don't look over 35!! I know I haven't seen you in person but still! You look great - skin care is a wonderful thing! I've been using Mary Kay for a couple of years now and it's working great for me. I get a great discount through a friend of a friend so I can afford it!

I love the Juice Beuty Srem Cellular line. It's all organic, cruelty free, and no nasty parabens . I have used Roc years ago but am now loving JB. No foundation for me, just blush and mascara. I agree that genetics play a big part. And of course no smoking, which is very aging. I'm 60 and am always complimented on my skin which I owe to my parents genes, no sun and no smoking. Of course a glass of red wine is good for it too!

I've never used Roc. I have always been a Oil of Olay kind of gal. I am getting into organic coconut oil, mixed with almond oil and Vit E oil. I am loving what it is doing for my skin. I also got a home exfoliator. I use Bare Minerals too. Love it. I have never used anything that covers as good.

You are too funny Kim. You do look beautiful and thanx for sharing some of your products. I had been using Bare Minerals for about 5 years up until recently. My face had started getting really oily which is why I started using it to begin with so I changed to an Ulta product and thus far its pretty good.

I tired an entire jar of the Clinique and I did not notice a difference. Glad to know it works for you! I do use the moisture surge in the Summer and I really like that. It's a gel. My favorite Kinerase products was discontinued. So sad! I did the bare minerals too. I love that. I can't stand foundation on my skin. Even when I worked a line and tried everything, I always used a powder form!

Hi Kim, I love Bare Minerals it's amazing because it doesn't clog your pores like other foundations. I have found the best night time and eye cream treatment. I've been using it for about 1 1/2 months and my forehead wrinkles are almost gone. :-) I even have a friend that called to tell me her brown spot on her face is fading and she had 3 laser treatments done to it with no results. It's called Nerium and all I do is cleanse my face with Cetaphil (mild cleanser) apply Nerium to my face, eye area (lids) neck, chest and even the tops of my hands. I go to bed and in the morning rinse my face and apply my moisturizer with sunscreen. Trust me I worked at a Med spa in Vegas and salons my whole life so I've tried everything. I can't tell you how happy I am not to be apply 8 different things am and pm to my face. I'm see Real Results like I've never seen before. http://Ladonnaf.nerium.com
