When I first decorated the tree I added these large cones on the table until I had the gifts to place under it.
Large vintage market baskets hold most of the gifts.
It's down to crunch time now. I still have one gift to wrap, baking to start today, and more house cleaning to do.
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Your ornaments are wonderful and I did something very similar w/ both my trees this year, also. Instead of the traditional tree topper I used dried stems and faux gold berries. I would love if you would link your tree up to our party. It just went live.
Merry Christmas!
Angela
Gorgeous tree Kim! I love all those ornaments too. Your sunroom all decorated for Christmas that you shared yesterday was incredible too! I think I'm going to be using some red next year after seeing yours :)
Beautiful! Looks so homey and elegant!
Beautiful, Kim! I love the idea of a tabletop tree! Simply stunning!
Looks beautiful, Kim. I am thinking this is something we should do. Sure makes sense!
Kim your tree is gorgeous!!!!!! LOVE that vintage looking wrapping paper too! I still have to wrap gifts LOL! But today my husband is taking my daughter and I too the the rockettes Christmas spectacular one of my favorite shows to see this time of the year!

Your tree looks beautiful, Kim. Love how you decorated it.
I love the gifts in baskets!!
Kim, your tree is beautiful and I agree a table top version is so much easier and handy. I will not be posting my tree this year, the boys decorated it and it is horrible. They stood back from the tree and threw the lights at it, wherever they landed is where they left them. It is to much work to undo a 20ft tree, so I will have to live with the embarrassment this year and not ask them to do it next year.
Love, Love, Love your display and tablecloth/tree skirt. I haven't used a full size tree in some years now and did'nt even use my 4ft this year because I'm preparing to move. Needed simple this year. I use a basket also for my gifts. You always decorate so beautifully Kim, Merry Christmas
very pretty indeed~!
I too will welcome the time when a smaller tree is in my family room.
enjoy every moment of the season.
So pretty - I love the plaid!
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and your family =)
It is the perfect tree Kim! Love the cardinals. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I've never had a tabletop tree, Kim, but yours just might make me a convert! Your tree is lovely - the crowning glory of the decorative posts you've offered.
I love how that looks! I particularly like the plaid mixed with the burlap. I also like the baskets filled with presents. That's a great alternative to a large tree.
Your tree is beautiful. I hope you and your family have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas. Hugs, Marty
Everything you touch turns to gold, my friend! Your home is so warm and inviting and oh so elegant!
Merry Christmas, Bright Soul!

The sunroom is just perfect love the pillows and the grainsack little stockings!
Shhhhh. I bought a 3 foot tree to get me through this year, but I think I'll look for a slightly larger table top tree next year. Your tree is perfect! Love the evening shots.

I love those night pictures...how beautiful...and if I was in your house I would snuggle right on a sofa with a cup of coffee and think of nothing!
Your tree is beautiful Kim and I'm with you on the tabletop trees..love the look and so much easier to decorate. Thanks for sharing.
You have a gorgeous home and I love your small tree. Beautiful photos.
Your tree is so cute, Kim. The tartan skirt works perfectly. I stuck with my smaller tree this year. They're so much fun to decorate.
Kim your tree looks so pretty, I love the plaid tree skirt! Love the night shot too!
Merry Christmas friend!
Kim, your tree looks so beautiful. Wonderfully colorful and so pretty with the lights shining. Love the idea of gifts in the basket, sometimes it's hard to put them all under a smaller tree. The packages are wrapped beautifully also.Hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas..Judy
Love the table top tree, I think I'm going to look for one of these for my kids next year. The basket with the gifts in it is such a great idea - especially if you aren't hosting Christmas you can just stick the basket in the car to bring to the party. I'm off to hunt for a basket now :)
GORGEOUS, Kim! I also have a tabletop tree this year. I love how you elevated your tree with the skirted table. And that festive plaid skirt is charming.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!

It looks beautiful Kim. I love the smaller trees. You pop them up and they have just as much impact, for half the pain in the butt. LOL. I have a big, fake tree and it is a beast. This looks perfect!! I like the vintage looking "Santa face" wrapping paper. Too cute. I better get to my last minute stuff too ;) Shannon
Kim, I love the look! You house looks pristine. ;-)
Baking here this weekend. All the best to you for a very merry holiday with your family. Hugs ~ Sarah

LOL I was cleaning today. And I remembered your Get R Done post the other day about wrapping presents
I did both today and found myself saying Get R done to myself throughout the day
Your tree is lovely and Merry Christmas to you and your family and as I am still fairly new to blogland I appreciate finding you and yours very much :)
Kim, your tabletop tree is perfect! I love that sweet bluebird ornament, and everything about your petite tree.

I like my smaller tree on a tabletop so much better this year, too. Yours is beautiful. I really like how you used a market basket to corral the presents.

Kim, your tabletop tree looks gorgeous, and I love the plaid skirt! Since moving to our little cottage, we've gone the tabletop route, too. Putting the smaller gifts in the basket is a great idea!
