Cozy In The Master

When it is cold outside I like to add items that make the house feel warmer and cozier. I went to Pottery Barn outlet right after Christmas looking for possible great deals and came home with a quilt that I was not looking for at all. I didn't find any other good bargains, but when I strolled through the bedding department and saw this quilt I knew it would be the perfect touch in our master bedroom to make it a bit more cozy for winter, even though this weekend we have been unseasonably warm.

I knew the quilt would work well with all the colors and other patterns in the room. The left pic is the new quilt against the bed skirt and the right pic is the chair and ottoman that is in the room. All the colors work well together.

I also swapped benches with this one that was in the sun room.

The quilt and colors of the cow painting even work together.

I had moved the pheasant pillow from the great room to our room when the Christmas decorations were up and I love how the colors work so well in here so it is staying for a while. I need to find another one.

Added a vintage throw to curl up in while sitting in this chair.

This is another painting that kind of got placed here during Christmas and ended up staying.

Family photos adorn the bed side chest.

I just love how the colors in the quilt have all the colors of other rooms in the house. It's good for the rooms to flow together.
Have a super week!

It all looks just beautiful Kim!
Just a question - do you sit in that chair?
I only ask because I create inviting little " niches " and then don't use them ( because I don't want to mess them up lol )
One of my many many disorders!

I love the way that you mixed the different patterns. Your buffalo check bed skirt and reading chair are fabulous! The overall look is warm and inviting and it makes me want to curl up there for some reading and a nap! I wish that there was a PB outlet near my home, I'm in the market for a new "winter" quilt! xo, Kimberly

Your quilt is really charming! I like it in there with the paintings too. It does help your master flow better with your great room having more color in there. That quilt would work fine in the Spring and Summer months too I think.

Love your quilt. I always look forward to your next blog posts. Not long ago I started a blog with my decorating style. You are an inspiration for me . My husband and I are renovating an old flour mill which is 158 years old. We plan to make it into our home. We had just finished renovating an old railroad depot which we are living in until our mill is finished. If you would like to take a sneak peek you can go to www.littleputtylittlepaint.blogspot.com

The quilt looks great, and many of us are envious of the Pottery Barn outlet you have close to shop at. I haven't even been into a regular Pottery Barn in a year, it's only an hour away but my computer is seconds closer.

Looks wonderful Kim! Wish we had a PB outlet nearby. Maybe soon. There are two outlet malls under construction to open this coming summer...not far from home:-) Don't know if there will be a PB outlet, but hope so.

BTW, can you tell me who made your brown velvet pillow? (I just love it, and bought a few yards of some quite a while back, waiting to find someone to monogram it...). Sure would appreciate the info!

Blessings to you in 2013, and thank you for a wonderful year in 2012, with your gr888 blogs!!!
