I Can Almost See the Light

Folks, my big project is almost finished. Thought I would share a few progress pics with you.

Left side is before the glaze. Right is in the process of having the glaze added.

Adding glaze.

The cabinets look different shades in different light. This is pretty much the way they look. The glaze is still wet in this shot.

My inspiration pic.

Yes, I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The colour looks great I cant wait to see the finished product. I've just started planning my kitchen renovation, I wish I was a bit braver with my colour choices but will most likely stick to a boringly simple white cabinet!

Hi Kim,
I really like that grey-green color you found. & the glazing adds a nice depth. I'm looking forward to the finished project - that's a lot of work you've taken on - door by door, cabinet by cabinet!

Are you seriously painting your kitchen cabinets?
You are a true inspiration! I can't wait to see the finished results, I hope you give lots of tips and advise on this massive project.
I've been toying with the idea of painting mine myself, but worry about the durability of the finish so that they don't scratch and chip, so PLEASE walk all us novices through the process.

Beautiful Kim! Can't wait to see it all finished!

I love, love your new look for your cabinets. I haven't used the chalk paint yet, but want to give it a try. I have used the glaze and it makes everything look warmer. More inviting. Great job.

Oh! this is so exciting! Love the color and with the glaze it is so pretty! Is that a kitchen island I see? Love! I want one of those so badly but my kitchen isn't big enough - unless do some re-modeling, which I have the plans for in my head LOL! Gonna have to win the lottery for that one. Heck, if I win the lottery I can just buy a house with an island! Can't wait to see the end result! Hugs, Leena
