Y'all know I am C R A Z Y when it comes to painting. I can't just paint a piece one time and leave it alone. Oh, no. I also have a habit of having more than one project going at a time. Last year at this time the sun room was being painted by me while Mr. Savvy added the beadboard wallpaper and trim in the powder room and then I had to paint that room. This year is no different.
I started stripping paint from a sofa table over a week ago and it is still not finished, but sweet Mr. Savvy is going to finish it this weekend for me. Then I painted this little table, that I am showing you now, in about thirty minutes one day last weekend. And if that wasn't enough I have finally started a much larger paint project that I never got to last year. If you follow me on Facebook I have been sharing snippets of the progress.
As you can see this table has many layers. The original color was a yellow like my breakfast room table. I purchased both tables painted that way. Then I painted this little table Aubusson in Annie Sloan chalk paint.
Well, I decided to paint it black with Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint in Typewriter this time.
I then highlighted the details with gold and love how it turned out.
A little wet sanding and then a coat of wax and voila.
You'll have to wait and see where I'm using it.
See you tomorrow for my guest post series. I want my guest poster's closet. Just wait till you see it.
