Well, I am still working on the dining room chairs and I ran out of the jute cord so now I have to wait on that to come in. When my sister was here a couple weeks ago she mentioned that I haven't shared the vignette on the little chest in the hallway as she was looking around. It's only been like this since Christmas which I guess is long for me.
For those new here this is a little hallway that runs between the front sitting room and the great room in the back and the powder room and master bedroom open to this.
I just used things from around the house and literally threw this together and haven't given it much thought since except to keep it dusted. Gosh, I hate dusting.
The basket is filled with a few old books, an antler that you can only see the tip of and a turtle shell. See, I told you just stuff I threw together. The ironstone is a Redcliff piece I found at a Restore a couple years ago for ten dollars.
The cute transferware sugar bowl with the topiary and bird is from Nancy's etsy shop. I have had it since last year.
In case you have not seen this bird lamp, the last gazillion times I have shared it, it basically stays in this spot. I bought it years ago at a shop going out of business. I have seen this lamp around in stores on and off since then so if you want one keep an eye out and you may spot one. I added the fringe to the shade.
So for now this is how it looks, but we know it will eventually change. After all spring is right around the corner.
:)
It's hair spruce up day at the salon.

Very pretty Kim!
Love this, especially the topiary. You have that special touch with everything you do. Have a great week-end. Expecting granddaughter # 2 on Friday. Sheila
Gorgeous, I love how everything is arranged. The topiary is lovely. Thanks for sharing! Xo Liz
Great vignette. I'm a sucker for a topiary and a basket.
Per the usual, I love what you've done.

Count me in...I love it too. Especially the topiary and the lamp. Such a pretty vignette. Wish I had that kind of stuff laying around my house to pull together! :) Have a great day!

Gorgeous! You are so good about changing things up and posting daily. I wish I could follow your example. :)
Kim, I'd smile each time I walked down this hall. Your tabletop vignette is charming. I do love that cue lamp!
Wow, that chest is beautiful. It reminds me of one my mother has, handmade by her great grandfather sometime in the 1800s.
Kim, you certainly have a special touch when it comes to vignettes! The display that you just "Threw" together is charming. I really like the basket with the tortoise shell.
Luv.. luv!!! The lamp, and the tureen of course.
Very pretty vignette.
Hugs, gee
Very pretty Kim. I love having small lights in my home that I can flip on in the evening. I like the soft glow. The bird lamp is especially cute. I don't know why I love the little animal stuff so much? That, and your squirrel. You've got the cutest squirrel, I just love him :)
Love the vignette-especially the basket-I found one on close-out but hadn't decided what to do with it-now I have some fun ideas. Thanks
that looks so great! I love the white plates, I hate dusting as well!
Love the wire basket with books and turtle shell. I ran into a large turtle shell at a garage sale. They wanted six hundred dollars for it. Not for me. xo, olive
So, SO charming! What is your little mini-tureen (or is it a sugar bowl?) on the books? Is it Red Cliff or some other maker?
Looks beautiful!!
Karen
Very pretty. Of course since I love white pitchers...my eyes are on your wall shelf and all those wonderful pieces. No doubt you will make changes as soon as we have a warm day, but it really looks pretty for spring as is!
Very pretty, and Im glad you described the flow of the house, it makes it easier to piece all the rooms together and the lay out.
A pretty vignette, Kim, and I seriously love both the dresser and plate rack.
You've got a nice collection of ironstone there. And I love how the white looks with the shelf color.
Brenda
Love it! I am a sucker for vintage plates on the wall;) And those little metal baskets! What a warm and cozy hallway.

Love the shelf with all the white and the little bird on the topiary is adorable!
Love the hall vignette. I really like that chest, Kim. You did a great job, as always, of pulling everything together- xo Diana
So pretty! I love the bird lamp. I have not seen it before but I am sort of a new reader. Have a great weekend!
Just beautiful Kim! You put together the best vignettes! :-)
Vanessa
I just love that shelf and the old books are perfect.
The plate rack is such a pretty color. I'm glad you and your sister are so close. So are my sister and me!
I love that cabinet and shelf and you have so many beautiful items that you so beautifully showcase...it is a beautiful space!!!
Kim, Please fly up and help me "throw" my stuff together! I have a nice big guest room waiting for you!!! Seriously!!! I just marvel at your eye for design and talent!!! Seriously, come!
xo
It is darling Kim. I love the birds.
I love this vignette and I am certain that I am now buying a topiary from Nancy's shop. They are so beautiful. It will or (they maybe) will make a great addition.
