The Winter Sun Room

I guess I better share the winter look in the sun room before spring gets here. I shared the addition of the drop leaf table last week and many of you loved that change. Now let's look at the rest of the changes.

Let's see.....how many things have I switched up in here? I've changed out the plates on the wall again. This time I used some ironstone plates.

I took out the large bamboo table I had in here and brought in this one that used to be in the great room before it was replaced with the painted table I shared. It's the ripple effect, people. Now the sofa is anchored by two dark tables. The brass lamp from Restoration Hardware was brought down from the guest room.

Of course a very easy way to change up a room is with pillows. The blue striped grain sack pillows made by my sponsor were in the dining room. The toile pillows were also found at the antique mall when I found the vintage Ethan Allen sconces.

The red striped grain sack look alike is an old Pottery Barn pillow cover.

I added the vintage quilt across the bench with a couple added pillows.

Also from my sponsor are these beautiful pillows made from vintage toile she found with a red plaid on the back.

An old red throw is draped across the other chair with the other pillow.

This huge white lamp from Pottery Barn outlet was on top of the t.v. cabinet and I decided to place it between the chairs. These old eyes of mine need all the light they can get. :)

Reading material is close by. I think I may be getting too many subscriptions.

Collection of vintage grain sacks are stacked in the t.v. cabinet on top of the vintage Pepsi crate.

My recent basket scored at the Williams Sonoma outlet holds design books and more magazines.

This lamp from HomeGoods was on the table between the chairs and is now on the drop leaf table. I like playing musical lamps.

Miss Bailey's toys sit in a coke crate under the farm style bench. I added the plaid seat cushion from Ballard's that I have had for years.

I added a light kit to this demijohn and the Pottery Barn lamp shade to place on the t.v. cabinet.

A collection of vintage bottles sit on top.

On a sunny day.

And a cloudy day with the lamps on.

Hope you enjoyed the winter look. Soon it will be spring and the leaves will be back on the trees and I will feel like I am in a tree house again.

Have a super week.

Kim, you have a beautiful sunroom, and I love the changes! I'm having some pillow envy right now! The lamps are adorable, and I can be one to play musical lamps, as well. It's kind of nice to have a time where the home is free from a distinct holiday or seasonal decor...a fresh start. At least I think so! :)
