Adding Spring

I was hoping to share my dining room chairs by now,  but this project is taking longer than expected. I am working on the last two chairs and can see the finish line. I am so busy this week that it will be the latter part of the week before I can finish them up. I have Leila today and Wednesday and on Tuesday my sister and I will be getting together with our mom to celebrate her 80th birthday that was on 2/25. Busy busy.

I did spruce up the dining room table vignette a bit for spring this weekend.

I'm still using the huge wooden tray that my daughter gave me for Christmas. I love the weathered finish and size,

A stack of white plates, that I shared months ago that were found for a song at a flea market, are layered with some cups and saucers that were my grandmother's.

The floral pattern is perfect to ring in spring.

The yellow checked napkins were found at Williams Sonoma outlet several weeks ago and I love having the added yellow in here.

This vintage style crock is filled with vintage silver plate dinnerware I have collected.

The blue crock that was on the buffet has been moved to the table to hold flowers and eucalyptus.

Sorry no wide shots because you can see some of the chairs. No peeking!

Have a super week!

What pretty tea cups and saucers Kim. Just traded out my dishes for a yellow and green set from the Mr's grandparents. Your napkins would be great with them.. (note to self, find some pretty yellow checked napkins)
I too am forcing Spring to come... 28* here in North Central Florida... and a frosty one. So ready for warmer days...

Thank you for the lovely vignette which inspired me to take out my mother's china,"Forget-Me-Not"by Europa made in Czechoslovakia. The sun is shining in northeastern Ohio and the snow from yesterday is quickly fading.

Chairs are so tricky. Their size makes it seem like it will be a fast project but they take a lot of time! I always kick myself when I start one. Can't wait to see yours all finished. Oh, and I love, love, love eucalyptus. Great crock too :)

Nita {ModVintageLife} said...

Very pretty. I can tell from the little bit I've seen of the chairs that they are looking lovely. I remember when I painted mine...I thought they would never be done. Plus I painted the buffet and table too....I don't ever want to do that again. Can't wait to see your's.

Kim, it's always fun to see how you change things up. I like to use a tray on our dining room table too. Makes it easy to move the vignette off when we want to use the table for eating. '-)
